I am having 2nd thoughts about my adr for CG its at 8pm and wishes doesn't start until 10 are we too early? I tried to book a later time but that is all they had. Is it worth 2 ts credits we will be going with our 4 kids dd16, ds14, dd4,ds2. I was thinking of canceling and doing Lecellier, and, LTT, any other places that would be good for our group of kids of all different ages?

I love CG. But I think the little ones would enjoy LTT more. CG is much more an adult restaurant.

Cali Grill is very nice. I had an ADR there for 8 PM for my visit in Dec and we still waited about 1/2 hour or so for our seating. It is very busy. It is a great view of wishes but I'm not sure your little ones would like all of that waiting around.

Is it worth it?

Well that all depends on what you value in a dining experience. Great food but a refined and changing menu may not suit everyone's taste or expectations so you might want to review an on-line menu within one of the Disney sites.

We have dined at CG multiple times with children ranging from 8 months to 5 years old without issues or finding something within the menu to eat. I would note families with small children usually dine during the earlier dinner time offerings.

You might consider other dining options, if you think it may be more fun to eat somewhere more casual allowing kids to be more like kids on vacation while preserving your dining credits. For us the CG is a WDW tradition.

You are absolutely perfect. Check in at about a quarter to 8.
Do not worry about the kids at all. If the 2 or 4 year olds start to cry or something, just take em to the elevator and go downstairs until they quit. Trust me. They'll stop and then you can go back up. Also get em a nap in the afternoon. There are plenty of families with kids up there. It's not an extremely quiet restaurant in the first place so as long as the kids aren't hooligans, you'll do fine. It's a perfect time. Service is very pedestrian in the CG. So by the time you finish up with appetizer, entree, and desert, it will be time for Wishes. You'll have enough sushi to share with your 4 year old if they want some. Just make sure to get California Rolls or Snake in the Grass (both those involved cooked items) if you don't want to feed raw fish to your little ones.

Have fun. Keep it. If you don't get a table by the window, there's the deck. And thank me for the wonderful time you had when you come back. And if you think it stunk, blame Mission Mouse.

Skip Cali Grill. Waaay overrated. Go only if you wnat to drink $100 bottle wine and eat sushi. Jiko is far superior. Kids would love BOMA or Kona. Kona Desserts are unbelievable.

I like CG--and the view of Wishes is great. But it IS expensive--far above anything like Liberty Tree Tavern.
I sort of agree with Mission Mouse--. There are probably more "fun" spots for the kids..
