for Me, DH, DS(Almost 3), SD(Age 14) Sister-inLaw and her 2 kids (Ages, 15months and 6)?

We Might be vacationing with her, I haven't decided yet. But if so, is that 3bedroom large enough that we won't be getting on each other's nerves or should we book something larger?

sounds like you would be ok, You & Hubby in king master #1, SIL in king lockout, I'm guessing her 15month old sleeping in the bed with her, maybe your DS 3 + her child age 6 in the room with the twin + trundle & your oldest DS 14 on the pull out couch?

it might make for close quarters since the pull out couch is actually someones bed & others might want to stay up later to lounge in the living room but will only have limited seating if the couch is pulled out for the bed, know what I mean?

maybe 2 2bedroom units might be better? or maybe you can find a private pool home that might allow you to spread out more. alot of the homes these days have 2 or more master bedrooms, living room + a family room and a games room with pool table, foos ball, etc.

if you use this link, scroll down to the bottom to see the floorplan for CPGV

the 3 bedroom unit will consist of the 2 bedroom & the unit lockout together & says it sleeps up to 10

depends....

with my relatives we get along better if everyone has separate rooms....

but if you get along well together - then you should have plenty of room.

my relatives are Loud and like to fight....

so it is better for me to put everyone in their own studio...

then I get the peace and quiet I need....

does SIL 6 and your 14 get along - or are they likely to argue??? :confused3

kept in mind lots of kids argue just to get their parents (and others) upset....

Only you know your own family.

We stay here at least 1-3 times a year. Last year we had me, DH, DS 19 and girl friend(seperat room!), DS, 13( would have told on DH and girl friend...), and 4-6 other of DS 19's college friends over the course of our 13 days stay... Still lots of room. Yes, some one slept on the pull out couch in the main 2 bed room unit, but the kids stay up latter then we do anyway!
The 3rd bedroom/lockout really has 2 rooms... a mid size room with a king bed and then a wall with a window and blinds that looks into the small sitting room/kitchenette. This small room has another full size fridge and small kitchen stuff and a pull out bed. So you have up to 4 in the lockout, and then 6 in the 2 bedroom unit. One of the above posts has the website, you can go and take an online virtual tour of the rooms and get floor plans... also I think that this is a different site.... http://cypresspointe.net/ and you can look at stuff there..http://cypresspointe2.com/
this site has the floorplan http://cypresspointe2.com/floorplans.html

Hope this helps....
It is very close to DTD!

Would the 3 yr old and the 14 yr old be okay in the 2 twin beds (or twin plus trundlebed) provided in the 3rd BR? If not, then the 14 yr old could sleep on the main LR sleeper sofabed. You & DH would have the 1st MBR.

SIL and her two little ones could share the king bed in the other MBR. Depending on which phase you're placed in, the SIL's MBR may also have a double sleeper sofabed in her room (Phase 2, Grand Villas have this). Her MBR would also have it's own exterior entry door, it's own TV, a separate kitchenette for snacks and kiddie foods and a bath w/jacuzzi. This gives the 2 families a little more privacy and space.

Depending on where the 14 yr old sleeps, you may leave the entire main LR free. The dining table there is large enough for all of you and there's enough kitchenware in the main kitchen to prepare meals together if you want.

There's some seating on the balcony off the 1st MBR and inside this MBR also - plenty of space, no problem to find a spot for your quiet time. On our stay, my DH & I enjoyed quiet morning devotions on the balcony and in the LR while all our teens were still sleeping. HTH. :)

Hey guys, I'm almost making my decision. Okay, DS will sleep with DH and I in one Masterbedroom.

My SD14 and my 6yr old Nephew could sleep in the 3rd bedroom with the twin beds.

SIL can sleep in the other Masterbedroom with my 15month old niece.

Question: Which Masterbedroom is the farthest from the living room?

When you say "lockout" what does that mean? :confused3

It's only 2 nights but I am REALLY stressing over this: whether to share the 3bedroom villa with SIL. But it could really be cost effective for us.

Help!

PS, I looked at those sites and they look HUGE, but I just want to know which Masterbedroom to offer SIL.

I would give SIL the lockoff unit. it would be like having her own suite since it has its own mini kitchen area, sitting area, bedroom & master bath as well as the exterior door (meaning she can exit the condo without having to go through "your" 2 bedroom condo) she will also have her own patio, it would basically be like having 2 seperate condos but yet you will still have an interior door access that will allow you all to enter each other's condos without having to use the exterior doors. this is what it means to have a "lockout" unit
& if its only for 2 night, I think you should be fine, especially since you each have your own condos.
whatever you decide, have TONS of fun!!!!! :flower3:

Whew! Thanks cinamin27, decision made. :)

There is probably enough room for the 6 year old on the lockout side as well. It's really spacious for 3 people!

I think I mentioned on your other thread that when we stayed there, DH & I had the lockoff unit. It was wonderful to be able to close the door separating us from the 2 bedroom side. We had our own fridge and mini stove so getting ready in the mornings was simple. No fighting or crowding in the kitchen.

Your sister in law may want to get creative with using the beds on her side, such as putting the kids in the kitchen area so that she can use the tv (in the bedroom), patio and the soaking tub without disturbing them. I believe there is a sofa bed there.

There used to be a good map & virtual tour on the sunterra.com website. If you go to the CP GV section and click on image viewer, you can see pics of the lock off unit. It's the one with the orange bedspread. It looks like the bed area is open to the dining area, but it's a window with a shade.

Anyway, your family should be fine on the 2 BR side, especially if your 2 kids sleep in the twin room!
