Is Redweek legit?

I noticed a ton of reservations for 2 hrs at OKW and SSR at a huge discount (not verified by redweek/seem to be from the same renters)… I’m tempted to rent, but have not used redweek before.

It's probably only as good as the individual renter. I don't know if there are guarantees. I've used Redweek about 1/2 a dozen times for timeshare week rentals though and had a good experience with each rental I've done (no issues and huge savings over retail). The site has been around for a lot of years.

I've also considered listing a timeshare I inherited for a week in Sedona there if someone in the family doesn't want to use it or trade it, but I haven't needed to do that yet.

I dislike that there is no rating or review to show if a user is legit or not…

I'm not sure how Redweek protects you from fraud, but I used them for a Marriott rental in Hilton Head in 2023, no issues at all. I will be using it again for next summer.

Yes, RedWeek is legit. Many members from Timeshare Users Group (TUG) list their rentals there. Some pay to use the Verified and Protected listings, others who are just as trustworthy don’t.

However, when it comes to D.V.C. rentals, stay away from any that state there’s a $190 fee to pay when you check in. Those are exchanges made via Interval International and are not allowed to be rented, and if either II or D.V.C. find out, they can cancel the reservation.

We used it for a week at the Grand Canyon and got a great price for a beautiful condo.
