Is OKW the only 'true' DVC resort?

It is the only one that isn't attached to an existing hotel.

To me, bwv isn't attached to an *existing* hotel, it was designed and built as a deluxe hotel and a dvc resort combination from the beginning. Maybe I'm misreading though.

Dvc is a "Vacation Club" not just one resort. I love the variety of resorts and hope to stay in all of them!

Its even more amazing that I voted 'no'.

You really have to remember, I use that line as a goof on the person who originally said it. I continue to use it because of the reactions it engenders.

Each are special in their own way. I own at BWV and OKW. OKW is our quiet, relaxed child. BWV, our party till you drop child. Love 'em both.

well it can be said that OKW is the only true DVC resort. Only because it was the first.. that said .. We love BCV , its so close to the action. We love it.. We also love OKW because it has its own resort plusses. What are they? well its away from the action, but has a feeling of comfort...Thats what we ( my dw and ds and me) love .. and one final point... no other DVC resort can you pull up to in your car and there is the front door... you can get out and walk right up.. thats what I LOVE ..sorry for the rant.....dave

When we joined in 1995, the answer to this question was a resounding "YES". There truly was only one DVC.

But now that we have several DVC resorts to choose from, my answer is a most definite "NO". Even though OKW is my home resort (and my DW Sue's favorite over all the others), I don't consider any single DVC resort to be the "true" one.
