Is OKW really THAT big?

We will be staying at OKW (first time) for part of our August 2006 trip. I've read various posts where people complain about the size of the resort (we will not have a car). At the same time, I've also read posts where people have complained about the size of CSR - but when we stayed there in May 2006 - we did not find it to be a problem at all, and actually enjoyed the walks to/from various points of the resort since the grounds were so beautiful. My question is, how does the size of OKW compare to CSR - is it any bigger??? Just want to know what to expect. Thanks.

CSR is about the same size if you are not counting the golf course. I had just had a gall bladder removed(with abdominal surgery 6 weeks before that), and I had no trouble walking thru OKW. When I read the complaints of people about how bad the walking is, I wonder just how big those people are! If I can walk it--slowly--a week after surgery, what is the problem? I am also overweight, so I am NOT an exerciser, either. I just think you have to pace yourself, so I always leave the parks around noon for an afternoon at the pool, and to relax in my villa. I enjoyed the walking at OKW--better than walking thru the rancheros! That was like walking thru H***

It's not small, but there are bigger resorts. It's kind of spread out and laid back. Great place to stay if you want quiet time after a long day at the parks.

Sometimes it is all in perspective. If you are expecting it to be incredibly huge, it may not seem too bad. It also feels smaller once you have stayed there just because you are more used to it and sort of know the layout a little bit by then.

You can always request to be near the HH or near a pool or whatever it is that is convenient for you. They have busses that run through frequently that can take you to HH as well.

If you enjoyed walking the grounds of CSR, then you will really enjoy walking the grounds of OKW. It is very lush and beautifully landscaped. And the buses can get you around the resort if you want a little transportaion help.

May be large, but it is a great resort.
