Is MK busier than usual on MNSSHP days?

We are making a quick trip back to WDW 10/6 thru 10/10. We aren't trying MNSSHP this year but are trying to determine which day is the best bet to attend MK. (this is our third trip in two years). Thursday is an EE day at MK and we never make it that early with our little ones. Friday is the party that night and it is Columbus Day weekend. Which day would be the best for MK...Thursday or Friday?
