Goning this year in mid August. I was there last year for the first week of Oct. It was so hot and humid. We did ok but for every pic you can see we were sweeting to death. Do you think August would be any hotter? It had to be 90 every day in Oct with 98% humitidy!

At least the same, if not hotter! The last time we were in summer, it was 105+ degrees everyday with 100% humidity! :sunny:

We're from Scotland, so this was an absolute nightmare for us - we're lucky to get 80 degrees and no humidity! :rotfl:

We now go in October as it is at least, bearable for us. :)

This may be just me, but I been in early October, and even though I was sweaty, I found it quite bearable. I think the difference for me was the sun is not pounding you from directly overhead in October, as compared to summer. I was at Disney two weeks ago, and already the sun and heat were getting too much for me, so I can't imagine how bad August must be! But in early October, I remember being sweaty, but not overwhelmed by the sun and heat. There does seem to be a difference to me. :)

August is definitely hotter! However it sounds like you hit a heat wave in october, its not usually quite that hot or humid in october.

From what I hear, last October was unusually HOT! we have been in the fall and found it quite comfortable however I am a HEAT WHIMP and will NEVER go in August! as has already been said at least in October the sun is not directly over head and with a little bit of luck you may get some "gentle" rain! Good luck on your choice! :woohoo:

We were in Disney last Oct as well and it was HUMID and HOT! Rained for a short time almost every day, making it even more humid. Farmers Almanac is calling for a much drier Oct this year. ( I do believe, I do believe, I do, I do)

Hope they are right, as we are returning for free dining and Food and wine fest :cool1: And if it's hot and humid, even a bad day at Disney is better than a good day at work! :woohoo:

Another big difference is that when you wake up in August, it will already be close to 80 degrees and the humidity will be quite high.

By early October the heat is not so relentless 24 hours a day.

August is just about guaranteed to be hot and humid. October can vary almost day to day, but would probably be significantly better, and also be a little less crowded.

I know it can sometimes seem difficult, but try not to let the heat get to you. Pace yourself and don't try to do too much. It's better to miss some things than to be completely exhausted trying to do everything.

Sorry to have to agree with the others but August is brutally hot and humid and it will be that way daily.
