is july managable for dvc at bcv?

is it hard to get in (not talking 4th of july week) and if its NOT you home resort??. also, does disney allow
for a week stay lets say if it starts tuesday to tuesday??

BCV can be difficult to book for July dates if you have to use the 7 month window. It is very popular (for the pool and location) and many members are willing and able to call day by day as soon as MS opens for the day to secure a reservation there . Some unit types are nearly impossible at the 7 month mark (Dedicated 2 bedroom units with two queen beds in the second bedroom, for example).

DVC resorts are reserved by the day. You may start your vacation any day you choose and may stay for as little as one night or as long as you like (assuming you have the points and subject to availability).

so even though we would be booking a week we would have to call 7 days in a row

No, you don't have to call each day. Just call and say you want to stay 6 nights. I can see how you would have thought that though.

A couple years ago I wanted to surprise my kids and made a ressie at the 7 month for a 2-bedroom at BCV in July. I was lucky enough to even get one with 2 queen beds! When I told the kids all I heard was disappointment. They wanted to stay at their "Home" (OKW). So I added 2 days to our trip and switched to OKW!!!!

We were able to get 1 bdrm in BCV for July at the seven month window, but we did call each day to add on to our reservation until we had our full week. We didn't want to take a chance.
