Is Jessica Simpson really that stupid!!!

I caught some of their new show and was amazed about how stupid this girl is. What rigor mortis is. How to say platypus. Buffalo wings aren't made of BUFFALO. NIck's watering the lawn and askes her to give him more slack in the hose "How do I do that?" dumb*** "There's a kink in the hose - can you get it out"..."How do I do that?" The list goes on and on....

I tell you it's absolutely fascinating to watch someone so stupid!!

Who convinced her to do this show and broadcast herself in this light? I'm not sure what to think. I just think someone has taken advantage of her stupidity.

And what cracks me up is that there are people out there that say she is playing up to the cameras or whatever.

That may be true.

And that people defend her because "she's had a record deal since she was 14." Again true, but she is 23, how much longer can she last on that excuse?

And people say that MTV places her in "odd situations" for their show. Again True.

But you know what, they don't force anything to come out of her mouth. When she speaks, that is her own free will. So yes, I will join you to say that it is funny watching someone so stupid. But at the same time, kind of sad because she looks so pathetic.

I will say that she is having a good sense of humor about the show, but I mean what other options did she really have? They didn't make her do anything she didn't want to do. They just edited it down to a 30 minute show of humor!

I'm sorry but I find this show to be so humorous and enjoyable. Jessica's husband has a heart of gold and the patience of a saint. I do seem to think that they have a very loving marriage and I for one can not wait for Season 2. She may be stupid but she is also very very funny.

I think they are the cutest couple. She has alot to learn as we all do, but the special thing about her is that although she and Nick are in the music business they don't reek of arrogance as some young people do in their profession.

I think they are endearing as a couple. I think she is way out-of-touch (and yes, I blame her parents for allowing that..show-biz or not)
I like that he does many things on his own rather than just hiring out every little thing (like moving people)...the camping trip was hilarious...as was the golf outing...I also thought it was cute that she was jealous of his going to the Playboy mansion, even really beautiful and successful people have insecurities.

I enjoy the show...

She's a ditz alright- but I too like this show. I love what a tightwad Nick Lachay is. He won't hire moving people, exterminators, he hired a maid grudgingly and I think she only comes in once a week. They just crack me up.

Jessica reminds me of a young hairdresser I shared a ride with on a springtime trip to Seven Springs (a ski resort in SW Pennsylvania). True story: (believe it or not)

We were going there for a beauty products show/convention and on the winding road into the resort she saw the 'snow machines' and asked what they were. We explained that they made snow for the slopes when there wasn't enough 'natural' snowfall for skiiing. She thought about this for a few minutes and then, with an indignant sigh, said "Well, sheesh, if they can make snow, why don't they just use those machines so we can have snow in Pittsburgh whenever we want?"...she was the epitomy of the stereotypical bleached blonde....we still laugh about that story, at work, when it snows....

I enjoy the show. I think their love for each other is truly genuine, as young as she is.

The show is funny, but I really think Jessica has been pampered and sheltered way too much by her parents and it comes thru on the show. Nick will help her become more domesticated I think and the rest will come with maturity.

I respect her for celebacy before marriage and how she conducts herself. I cannot say the same for Christina and Brittany.

I wish Nick & Jessica many happy years to come. THey will have gorgeous babies!

She may not be the brightest bulb around but shes doing a great job living her life that way and who are we to judge?

I couldn't care less how an artist lives their lives as long as they can sing, even though it's great watching them.

Everyone is forgetting that Lucille Ball was a very prominant producer and actress, her and Ethel are legendary. I think Brittany is punking everyone and she knows exactly what she is doing and I think some scenarios are scripted.

Did anyone see the credits at the end of the show. Jessica is complaining about not having any food and Nick says, we have chicken. She says really and he holds up the chicken of the sea can! I love this show but I can't tell you why. The show last night was great but I have to think that MTV was shelling out for that little vacation. Does anybody believe that Nick would shell out that kind of money? I hope that the second season is as entertaining as the first.

Wow! Why did she have no business getting married? Because she doesn't know how to cook or clean? There are a lot of people in the world that wouldn't be married then if that was a requirement.

Of course she had a right to do a show about her marriage. MTV offered - Nick and Jess accepted - seems ok to me.

I think that by putting herself on this show gives us, the audience, the right to judge. After all, it is a form of entertainment. It would be a very boring show if we were just watching normal people with no peculiarities.

I watch it from time to time -- I feel she's giving Anna Nicole a run for her money and Anna looks like a rocket scientist next to Jessica!

I just heard on CNN that Chicken of the Sea sent her a big basked of tuna and is considering her as a spokesperson or something.
