is it worth the extra-club level at universal hotel?????

Yes but I phoned to enquire first and then I booked on loewes site direct. Universal studios site us is the same.

I've just done a dummy booking on the Loews site and it said the whole amount was required. I thought it was because it's not long until I go but I can see from your signature that you're going around the same time! Am I missing something? :)

When I booked our RPR stay direct through Loews, I apid a deposit that equated to 1 nights' room cost plus tax. I thought that was standard :confused3

I thought there was an option to pay less than the full amount. I don't see why they would call it a 'deposit' if you're paying the full amount upfront. When I've paid a deposit for other stuff, it's always been a percentage of the full price. :confused3

Oh well!

Just checked my email and bank account and they have taken one night deposit the rest goes out 5 days before we go:confused3
When are you going?

I suppose, unless you're only staying one night, it is a proportion of the full amount :confused3 We are staying 5 nights so, in essence, we've apaid a 20% deposit. It's fully refundable anyway, if we cancel within the allotted timescale.

We're only staying one night, hence the confusion! I was hoping there was a way to reserve the room but delay the full payment, as I'm dying to book it but can't afford it right now (final payment to Disney is coming out shortly! :scared1:).

Can you not put it on a credit card? I always do this with our DVC dues - if I put it on the card the day the statement is issued, I can usually get up to 2 months to pay :thumbsup2

Out of interest, what date are you looking to book?

I don't have credit card (I wouldn't trust myself!).

I'm planning on booking September 1-2. What dates are you there?

have you looked on hotels .com/expedia bookin through quidco? You will get cash back and a waterview is £103 for a night:confused3

Thanks but I'm booking Club Level. I'm not bothered about the cost, I'll pay it next month. As I said a bit further up, I just wanted to know if there was a way I could reserve a room for a small deposit. :)

You pay the rest of your stay either at checkin or if you leave a CC for room charging, at Checkout ,which is what i usually do. The 5 days before arrival is the date you can cancel with a full refund

Crabbie, just out of interest I had a look on Expedia/Hotels.com but the price for one night is £150+ (even more for a water view room). If I could pay just over £100 for a room, I probably would- I'm not sure an extra £150 for Club Level can be justified. We could have a really nice meal with that money!

Thanks Robert for that.It can stay in my account a bit longer.:worship:
