Is it worth it?

I have a ADR for Cal Grill at 9:50 on 6/27. Wishes starts at ten. Is it worth it to try to get there an hour early or so? Would love a window table, or to get in a few minutes early if possible. We don't mind going up to the lounge and waiting and having a drink:drinking1
The kids will be at neverland club, and I'm worried about getting back in time to pick them up by 12. How long of a dinner is it? Could we be done in 1.5 hours? I don't mind eating kinda quick...

You don't need a window table to enjoy Wishes, just head out to the deck. Ideally you would want to put in your order before heading out to watch the show so look the menu over either while you're at the bar or in the lobby waiting to be seated.

1) You got problems.
2) Don't even think about getting a table 10-minutes before fireworks.
3) Most people get a ressie 1-1½ hrs early and stay at the table for fireworks.
4) With this in mind, it will be 10:30-10:45 to get a table.
. . . others must pay the bill, if they haven't
. . . sometimes previous diners sit and talk a little after the fireworks
. . . they must leave the table
. . . the table must be cleared and reset
. . . you, and whoever else is in line before you, must be seated
. . . a waiter has to get to you and take your order
. . . food has to be prepared and served, along with other late diners
. . . you have to pay the bill, which could take 10-15 minutes
5) Now, you have about 1-1¼ hr TOTAL to order and eat and pay, THEN 25-min to Neverland.
. . . about 10-minutes to get to monorail
. . . about 5-minutes to wait for next monorail
. . . about 5-minutes travel time to Poly
. . . about 5-minutes walk to Neverland
6) Unless you inhale the food, you are well out of time.
7) I think you need to rethink your plans.

I agree--even if you don't mind eating quick, you still have to get the food quick! Cutting way too close.

I think you are going to have to rush through your meal in order to get to the Neverland Club by midnight because of the people who sit at their tables, wait until after the fireworks to pay their bill, etc. I would call WDW Dining and make an ADR for 8:30-9:00 PM. And, what's the point of rushing through your meal? You are paying to dine at a Signature restaurant, and it would be a complete waste of money if you have to jam a filet mignon in your mouth, throw some money on the table, and walk out of the restaurant to pick up your DS... just my opinion.

If u can get an 8-830 ADR that would be ideal. You could be finishing up desert as wishes starts. Also, every time I have eaten at CG I had to wait a minimum of 20 minutes after my ADR time to get seated.

I agree with Rusty, and I assume the reason you didn't get an earlier reservation and are thinking about showing up an hour early is that no earlier reservation was available. This should tell you something about the probability of getting seated early.

What you could do is cancel the Neverland Club and call Fairy Godparents and get an in room sitter for the night. If you have a CG reservation, they will let you watch from the deck. Then you can eat after the fireworks and get back to your room anytime to sleeping children.
