Is it worth bringing sunglasses to the park?

Bring them, but bring cheap ones! People lose them all the time. Disney will sell unclaimed lost and found items to CM's really cheap, and there would be new sunglasses in there daily. One of the highlights of my College Program experience was when I scored an awesome pair of real Prada Sunglasses for only $1! I couldn't believe someone brought sunglasses that expensive to WDW, and then of course lost them...and didn't claim them:confused:

This was me: :cool1:

I hardly ever wear sunglasses at home.

But...I need them in WDW and always bring a few pair. Sunglasses and a baseball cap are my park must haves.:cool2:

Another sunglass wearer. I wear mine with an eyeglass leash (You know, those little strings that go around your neck and attach to your glasses.) I can just take them off and let them hang when in and out of shops, rides, restaurants. Stops the digging in the purse or having them fall out of a pocket or leaving them somewhere.

Lucky dog!!!! This is why I don't buy expensive sunglasses. If I pay more than $50 for a pair of sunglasses, I'll lose them in a week. If I pay less than $10, I can't get rid of them. I could throw them away, and I'd find them in my car the next day. :lmao:

That would be a definite YES. lol Here's a tip........Watch your sunglasses on Mad Hatter's Teacup ride! If you're with anyone like my husband, they will go flying off (just like mine did last time). Thankfully they weren't hurt and we were able to find them after the ride stopped.

I only wear sunglasses at Disney and the beach-I can't drive with them for some reason they make me feel sick.It gets annoying putting them on and off everytime you go in a ride but you really need them to walk around in.I don't bring really expensive ones either.I always make sure my dd has a few pairs incase she losses them.

I don't wear 'em, because I'm so prone to losing them. Instead, I wear a hat with a brim that shades my eyes.

Sunglasses are extremely necessary, and I also use an eyeglass leash around my neck.

The Florida sunshine is too bright for my eyes. I always bring sunglasses but need prescription glasses now. I'm super careful where I put those as I need them for driving as well.

When the sun gets bright, my eyes tear and burn. I'd be blind without sunglasses.

I just hate the constant shuffle of regular glasses and sunglasses for indoor/outdoor attractions.

You should definitely wear sunglasses. Not just to prevent headaches and squinting, but you need to protect your eyes from the UV rays of the sun. Make sure that you wear sunglasses that have full UV protection, just like sunscreen. (The sunglasses should have a label on them at the store that says what kind of protection they have.)

If you're a bit pale from the winter though, make sure you spend at least some time with the sunglasses off or you'll get a facial tan with a couple of nice round white patches where your sunglasses were! :rotfl:

I usually don't have to wear them much, but when we went down several years ago, I did have to wear them. I also bought a visor to wear. It really helped a lot.

Being a Floridian, my sunglasses never leave my head, day or night:cool2: When I go inside I just pop them ontop of my head, on rides like Space Mountian I just hold them in my hand. Surprisingly enough I've never lost a pair at WDW. Wow, I think I just jinxed myself. So to answer your question, sunglasses are a must!!

I always wear my sunglasses, I wear contacts...so my eyes are now sensitive to bright light! :scared:

I never leave my room without them!

I never used to wear sunglasses before moving to Florida. Now, I am never without them. I love the sunshine, but it gets intense. When you are in the parks, there is a lot of reflection off the pavement. Bring your sunglasses!
