That's great to hear! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear she's doing better and both of you are out and about!

That is wonderful news! :goodvibes

Alison - :yay: for Fran!!!!

Thanks everyone! With all her hip and knee replacements, we're finally seeing results. She was really improving before the cellulitis last Fall, so she's back at that improving place. Not that I mind packing and unpacking the scooter, but it's really nice for her to be walking again! :yay:

Alison I'm so glad Fran is able to get out and about. I hope Wicked was fantastic! I loved the book and have not been able to see the play yet.

Elin that is wonderful

Kim, you leave tomorrow!!!

Hi my friends... Back from the surgeon and dinner.

The surgeon was very pleased with my progress. He said I can get rid of the crutches on Thursday. That will be the one month mark and 3 days prior to the cruise.

Dinner was good outback.

Yes, they do. Last year they postponed the sail away party on the Wonder until the second day as its normal slot would have clashed with the Super Bowl, which was shown on the huge screen by the family pool.

Hi and Happy Sunday to all! :wave2:

This afternoon/evening we are trying a new restaurant at a local hotel. We're meeting friends for cocktails and appetizers (Happy Hour....on a Sunday) :woohoo:. I checked the menu and it has quite an extensive list of yummy items. Oyster Rockefeller really sounded good to me. Looking forward to a new experience.
:goodvibes

....yeppers....:woohoo:

Kim, I have a mental picture of you sitting back, feet up enjoying a beautiful afternoon with a nice beverage. Wishing you a wonderful cruise. I don't know but a "cruise to nowhere" seems really decadent to me. :cloud9: What a great gift for you and your family.

Kathy(Johnsmom), How are you and the family doing? I miss seeing you on the boards and talking.

Wendy, So glad to hear you are healing well and feeling better. Congrats on being a new Mimi. :lovestruc Sure do wish you were able to join us at the Jamborini Meet in October.

I saw it at the Kennedy Center last year and it was Amazing! It was or is coming to the Hippodrome, I am not sure where in MD you are but if it is close enough you should go see.... Even my DH enjoyed it...

Great news!
yes I was very happy, he was not happy with my progress on the previous visit, but I have been really working hard with the exercises and it paid off. I was so relieved about that.

Wow! Just in time! Glad you're healing well!
Me too, it was very stressful and the scare of having to go back under the knife to break up scar tissue was enough for me to get busy.

Good afternoon, Js & Ks! :sunny:

Great minds think alike!

We embark on Monday, but yes they do air anything special like that.
Last year we were on during the super bowl and they had a huge area set up and had all kinds of "Bar" food for everyone, nachos, dogs, sausages, dips chips, and wings... It was a lot of fun, and I remember they even had a bucket of beer special.

That is wonderful news.

Thanks :goodvibes

You know this is going to sound bad, but I was not so sure I was going to be able to enjoy the cruise with the foot and all so I really never got excited about it, and did not plan on doing much, which if you follow my TRs you know is so unlike me, but I really think we are just going to relax and not do a whole lot.

We are going on Royal Caribbean, and we are headed to Caribbean.

We leave Baltimore and are at sea for three day, (my favorite time)
then on to Tortola, British Virgin Islands then St. John's, Antigua then Philipsburg, St. Maarten then on to Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas then on to San Juan, Puerto Rico then on to Labadee, Haiti and then two days at sea coming back to Baltimore....

the average temp is around 80 to 90 degrees, so it will be warm and I looking forward to cool waters, sun and cold drinks.

Congrats on healing so well, I hope you enjoy your cruise.

Thanks, I am sure we will.... :cloud9:

Good morning, Js and Ks! :sunny:

Morning everyone.... Hope you are feeling well and blessed. I know that I am.... Today has got to be one of the best I have had in a month.

I saw this and wanted to share with everyone...

Less than 5% of all hotels in the United States receive AAA's Four Diamond award, but Disney and Disney Vacation Club resorts are well represented on the 2012 list.

At the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa was again given the Four Diamond designation, a distinction it has received dating back to 2001. Just up the road, the Disneyland Hotel joins the Four Diamond club just as its three year refurbishment project concludes.

Walt Disney World saw three resorts added to the Four Diamond list including both Jambo House and Kidani Village at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Also added to the list for 2012 is the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort.

Returning honorees are highlighted by Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa which has earned the Four Diamond designation dating back to 1989. Others include Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort and the Walt Disney World Swan Resort.

AAA conducts extensive evaluations of lodging accommodations before assigning a rating of One to Five Diamonds. Four Diamond award winners are described as being "upscale in all areas." In order to earn the Four Diamond designation, resorts must demonstrate "an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail."

The complete list of 2012 Four Diamond award winners is available in PDF format courtesy of AAA.
