I'm going to be renting DVC points at AKV Jambo for our trip next year. I'm so freaking excited! I've never stayed there and the pictures look absolutely beautiful. I'm sure it doesn't do the place justice.

Kiddo, I do 20 hours in a car with 3 kids under 10....YOU, I (we) could handle.

UNLESS you're constantly asking if we're there yet, demanding to stop to use the bathroom every 45 min, fighting over what's on the DVD player, or harassing your seat mate ever 10 minutes (you'd be sitting next to my youngest...she's the nicest, FYI).....we've got it covered.

So happy for those of you down to single days

I'm down to 18 days, 17 until ''officially'' on vacation
I've got just 12 more working days, alas, someone quit and 4 of those 12 will be overnights I have to work the overnights the next 2 weekends and the weekend after I get back from vaca.

I've been lurking on this thread (and the old one!) for about a month now. You guys are chatty!

I'm going to be renting DVC points at AKV Jambo for our trip next year. I'm so freaking excited! I've never stayed there and the pictures look absolutely beautiful. I'm sure it doesn't do the place justice. I've stayed in Wilderness Lodge before and I've heard if you love one, you'll love the other. I'm hoping this rings true because WL is my favorite deluxe.

I have a long ways to go. I'm jealous of all the people going in a few days!

You'll love AKV! It's a wonderful resort!


Only 4 days until I can call Member Services and shift part of my May vacation over to Kidani!!!!!!!!

Hi all. Just back. Had booked Studio Villa at Jambo House with Savannah view. We had Pixie Dust spread upon us and when I opened the door and seen a stove I immediately knew we had been upgraded to a one bedroom villa. What a great surprise at 11 pm. (our flight was almost an hour late). We were in room 5271. Had zebras and giraffes first two nights and birds the rest of the time. Did have great animal views on main savannah and seen where they go in to be fed (they line up around 9 am for their 9:30 feeding). Will post more in next few days.

Hope you all had a better day than I did.............. so, DH and I are getting ready to head out to get last minute stuff and yada yada......... then, duh duh duh......................... we get a call from DS's p.e. teacher................. he got hit with a ball in p.e. and they thought his jaw was fractured.............. so, after ALLLLLLLLL day at the dr. and xray place............. we finally get the word that even though it's bruised and swollen........... it's NOT broken, thank the good lord!!!!!!!!! What a day.............. but on the bright side, we only have 3, yes 3, can I get a whoop whoop for 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did I tell you guys I NEEEEEEEEEED a vacation??!!!!

So, i'm having a glass of sangria and a blueberry muffin.................... then I'm gonna soak in the tub and dream of zebra domes that'll be in my tummy on friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking about trying it this time since I've got a standard studio booked on points...I know it'll be a pool view, so didn't know if I should just do online check-in.

I was thinking about trying it this time since I've got a standard studio booked on points...I know it'll be a pool view, so didn't know if I should just do online check-in.

I always do online check-in for 2 reasons:

1) It asks for arrival time and since I usually arrive in the morning, well before check-in time, I feel better thinking they "know" I will be there early! I have usually gotten my room right away or within an hour or 2 (even DVC stays).

2) I add my credit card # to the online check-in and don't have to take it out at the front desk. I've been told that's the safer way to do it.
