my friends.... I would love to have a little prayer coming my way and to my uncle.

My Uncle died today. This is my mom's brother and he has been sick a good while, he had a foot amputated last week and then passed away yesterday.

Three years ago when David and I where here in WDW my mom died. This is the second family member that has died while we have been here.... Weird, but I try not to let it get to me.

David's uncle passed away in August and it was so hard on us and now mine, just a tragic summer..

Thanks for letting me vent..

Brandi sending prayers:hug:

And I swear the rain is following us down from CT.

Still, a scattered shower or two may actually be NICE. Just hoping the T-storms predicted for Tues the 11th hold off or end around the Magic Kingdom. That's our MNSSHP date. :)

Sending :wizard:
Well kimmar...your spot is ready and waiting:

Just make sure you're at that rest stop by 4....we can't hold up the bus for ya!

:rotfl2: But if she doesn't want to go can you swing by RI and pick me up:goodvibes I have 3 kids roughly the same ages so I can babysit too:rotfl:

Thanks :) I am now in total agreement with everyone's wonderful advice. I am surprised at myself for panicking, no need to. I should have been relishing in the moment of getting what I wanted :) now I'll relish! :woohoo:

I second guess myself all the time:lmao:

Good Afternoon.....need some advice please. We are booked for AKL checking in March 17th....I think we are going to drive down on March 16th and w/ not be in Orlando until around 10pm that night. Could anyoner recommend a hotel near AKL or somewhere close we could check in on March 16th and out on March 17th? Also, I am guessing if we get lucky and the room is ready at AKL before the official check in time they would let us check in? Sorry,we have only been to WDW once and used disney transportation!

Did you check out the Hotel & Accom Thread. They can probably help you find a hotel. http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=126

:goodvibes What a great picture and glad you put names to some of the faces.

I know that this is a transportation question, but I thought that this group would have the answer to this question:

We have a reservation to do the Wild African Trek at 8 a.m. The park opens at 9 a.m. We have to be in place by 7:45. What is the best way to get from the AKL to the AK. I don't think the buses start running until 8 a.m. ....

...what is that? [sounds interesting]...BTW, the buses begin running earlier than 8AM, so you could just catch one at AK and get to AKL with time to spare, since it's less than a mile....

OK, I don't know everyone here but front row left to right is
Wendy(wendypooh), Tracy (TyRy), Brandi (DgBg100106), Laura (RachelTori)
Second Row Ann, Robbie (Donald is #1), Elin (PNO4TE), and the rest I forgot, I am sorry :sad2:

....you just got a 70% on your test...:sad2: *tsk*, *tsk*, *tsk*.

....BTW, I have one problem-o with that pic.....the decor is definitely NOT that of AKL....

Here is the first official picture of the 1st Annual Jamborini Meet.

We would like to consider this as the official Jamborini pose. :rotfl:

The Wild Africa Trek is amazing!!! You get two wonderful guides, max 20 people if I'm remembering correctly, it might be 15 (a very small group, we were friends with most of the people by the time it was over). You first get fitted with harnesses, because you get to go on these fabulous rope bridges right over the hippo and alligator enclosures. (safety is the number one priority) You also get to lean over embankments to look right down at the animals, I think they were about 18 to 20 feet down, we were out of alligator jumping range I do know that. Each person gets their own time looking over the embankment, but even while you're waiting for your turn you can see the animals a little farther out, so you are entertained the whole time. All the while the guides are taking pictures of everybody. You are traipsing through the jungle, it is all themed, you are "not" in Animal Kingdom, you are in "Africa" observing the wildlife. After that part you take off the harnesses and take a private tour of the Savannah, the same Savannah as the Kilamanjaro Safari but no story line, it is a much more leisurely ride, and they stop whenever there is a perfect photo opportunity. Then you stop and have lunch at this lovely little pavilion. Lunch was served in the cutest round metal canisters. Included were various meats and some bread to make a sandwhich, yogurt, and cheese. We are vegetarian, they were unable to provide us with a different lunch (even when asked when booking), but there was plenty of food to fill us up. Also, they have the most magnificent drink called 'jungle juice' that they served before the adventure started and during lunch. They also gave us a water bottle as a souvenir in the beginning, already filled with chilled water which clipped onto your harness. At the pavilion where you eat lunch they also have the best binoculars I have ever used. I was able to focus up to the giraffes and could see the little hairs on their face. They do have restrooms at the pavilion, but none before that. You're out in the jungle and savannah for about two hours before you get to the pavilion. After lunch you get back to the place you started and pick up your belongings that you stored in a locker, you can only take a camera your waterbottle. The camera has to be able to be clipped onto your harness. They don't want anything falling into the animals' areas. Then they give you a code to get your photo CD which includes all the photos from the Wild Africa Trek (the ones the guides were taking). Such an awesome experience! It was $129 each person, but worth every single penny.

I'm sorry I went on and on, hope this was helpful :)
