Do they really think that POP will be sold out before the FD is offered to the public on Monday???????

It's a possibility consdering it's popularity. It would be wise to have a back up resort choice so that you are prepared if it is. Nobody can say for sure at this point though.

I hope not i have a 2 week stay at POP planned and dont really wanna switch but would switch to Port Orleans FQ

It never has sold out before GP offer in prior years. In 2008 FD for GP came out in early April. I didn't book until late May and got POP with no trouble.

In 2007 I called in late May and was told POP was sold out. Booked ASMu and then called back in June and was able to change to POP.

We can't go by what's happeend in years past..

And a resort doesn't sell out all at once.. Remember.. there are 45+ days of F/D.. a resort can sell out of just ONE day during a given week (let's call that your trip) ... and then you can't book a week of F/D on those dates.

But you could a week later or earlier.

It's very complicated. Try not to stress too much and have a backup resort picked .. maybe even two.

For what it is worth...

I had our family booked for 8 nights at POP under the kids play/ eat free. Park hoppers (no water park) and upgraded from QS to regular dining. We are 2 adults, 2 kids, and switching to FD today saved us only $75.

Also, for us to upgrade to a Moderate would only cost us just over $400 for the trip- $50 per night. I think I will stick with POP, but not sure since the price is so close.

This happened to us 2 years ago. We ended up staying at All Star Sports (with 2 little girls lol) and had a blast anyway. The Sports is very nice too!!!

I was able to switch over my 11 night reservation today to Pop and was expecting to maybe encounter some problem, but nope. Here's hoping there is room for everyone!
