Is it strange for an 11yo to know when Free Dining is?

So we're having dinner last night, and we're discussing our plans for the summer - what camps the kids are going to be in, etc. The kids start school late this year, and we have the whole 1st week of September to fill since Labor Day isn't until Monday 9/7 (schools start the Tuesday after Labor Day). So I make the offhand comment at the dinner table that we're toying with the idea of coming to WDW that first week of September. Maggie, DD11 princess: , immediately says, "isn't that when free dining is?" I was impressed.

Pete and John, you have another DU agent in training coming up...

Not strange at all Dave; in fact I would consider Maggie just a plain old genius!

Are you not going to the left coast over Labor Day?

Not strange at all- very funny :) And hey, you should be proud, she is thinking about saving money at an early age ;)

I don't think we're going to be able to swing the left coast trip afterall. If we do anything Disney over Labor Day, WDW with free dining makes much more sense financially. It just costs so much for the 4 of us to fly to CA, and we can fly to MCO much, much cheaper.

That's great Dave!!! Let me know when you are coming. If I'm not in Indy, I'll come over and see you guys!!

That's funny! I can only imagine the stuff Ferris will start repeating from sitting in on the podcast.

I think that is so funny. You have trained her right!!

Isn't just the greatest when our kids spout off stuff like that. Makes me so proud when my son asks if I took care of our dining reservations!:cloud9:

THAT is going to be great!!! I'm thinking its gotta be something about LAKES!!!

Your daughter sounds like me when I was her age! I used to have parts of the Unofficial Guide memorized! Nothing wrong with that - already proves she's a diehard Disney fan!

Ah... The beauty of being young and having the Disney Understanding. It's a gift. Sansei says. :worship:
So cute!

Ah I was a Disney freak at her age and knew that stuff
Heck I've been a Disney Encyclopedia since I was 7 I think every kid in my 2nd grade class wanted to rip my hair out since all I talked about was Disney :).
