I rented points from a DVC owner for a studio at okw. Is it possible to rent more points from another member to upgrade to a one bedroom?????????
Thanks for any help.

If you are a DVC member with an account number, you could have another member transfer the needed amount of points into your account, and you could rebook your reservation. But if you are not a member, and rented points from a member who made the reservation for you, I can think of only two things to do. If the member you rented from would rebook your reservation using the points you have paid for, booking however many nights you could get in a 1-bedroom(for example, you rented 50 points for a studio for 5 nights, the member could use those points to book 2 nights in a 1-bedroom), then another member could book the remaining 3 nights. For the first reservation, you may have points left over, and the best you could hope for is the member can add however many it takes to book a third night(for a price). Another option may be to ask the member who booked the studio reservation if another member could transfer the points into his/her account after you have paid for them, then rebook the reservation. However, if the member has already transferred points out of his/her account this year, they may not be able to do that. It seems to me the first option would be easier. In a perfect world, the member who booked the studio would have enough points to change your reservation for the price of the extra points---you should definitely explore that option first.

Anything is possible, but it might be a lot of trouble and maybe not very probable.

Baically you didn't rent points, you rented a reservation. All you can do is ask the member to rent you a different reservation. Depending on many factors, including how close the ressie date is, how full the resort is, how many points the member has and their cancel policy, it may not be possible.

In direct answer to your original question: No.

You cannot take a reservation made by one member and upgrade it using points from another member.

Some of the other replies give some suggesstions. In essence, you have to cancel the original reservation, and make a new one. Since you're using rented points, it all depends on the original DVC member you rented points from as to what would be possible.

i have done this for a renter but they have paid 3 dollars more per point to do it.............

Have you checked with your renter to see if he can book the 1 bedroom? At additional costs.
