Sounds like an awesome trip!

At Kidani, the lobby level is floor 2. Many prefer to stay on that floor with a savannah view to be closer to the animals. I stayed on the 5th floor (Sunset Savannah View) and while it was lovely, I was much higher than the animals. I think a lower floor (2 or 3) would be best.

Okay, so I showed DH how much we were saving because of the deal, and we should be okay as long as his boss lets him off. His boss does NOT celebrate Christmas so it should be okay as long as another employee isn't doing something. DH is high on seniority list.

So here is my plan. We will arrive early on Sunday December 18th, DD's birthday. I have a feeling I would like to do DxDDP for the first 5 nights (unable to add anything on the last three because of the way it's booked). Plus we are on the CL. I know that is a lot of food, but I thought it would be a great time to introduce DD and DS to signature dining. Easier to pay some nicer clothes, plus it is going to be a more relaxed view the resorts, see the lights, and go to the Christmas party. Also we will do the Sunrise safari.

Just popping in to say "hi" to all the Jamborinos!
I have been MIA and now I'm way behind - we've been going through an exhausting process of applying for a mortgage - but I'm happy to say we were approved today and will be buying a house! Very exciting - BUT - it also pretty much guarantees that I will not be getting back to the AKL anytime soon. So unfortunate that practical life gets in the way of having fun. This move is a good one for us, so my head knows it's worth it, but my heart is pining for a trip.

So, I will have to keep living vicariously through you all - and start my revised trip planning, which will include driving 24 hours in a 10 -year old Jeep, towing our camper, staying at Ft. Wilderness, and eating pbj's.

Hi, I've been lurking for a few weeks, but thought I'd stop in today since I've heard ZD Friday is celebrated around here. I will admit, I haven't read all 240+ pages so these have probably been posted before, but here are some ways you show everyone how much you love ZD's!

DBF and I are looking forward to our 2nd AKL stay, this time CL in a DVC studio (love owning points at our 2nd home)! Our 1st stay there was only for 1 night so this will be a real treat to be there the whole week !
