I have postponed my drive to the airport hotel. I may not even leave until o'dark thirty. It is horrible outside right now. We have torrential rains and I don't wish to rick life and limb. I would rather wake up at 3:00 and leave then and lose my "free" night at the hotel than drive in this deluge. I hope everyone stays safe and dry!

Drive safely! It's supposed to be terrible all night - although I think it will end earlier for you than it will for us.

Angel- I am so sorry to hear of your FIL ilness I don't have any advice on the cancelling as I don't have any experience with cancellations, I'm not sure what Disney needs to give you a refund...I hope someone has the answer for you

You and your family need this vacation--especially now.

Angel - I hope you are able to go on your trip. I don't know what Disney will need for documentation, but I know they will let you reschedule your trip and I don't *think* they will charge you a fee to do so.

Oh no! I don't have any advice about the trip except that it can't hurt to call to see if you can re-schedule. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and your FIL.

Angel - I'm so sorry about your DFIL. Could you wait until the last possible second to cancel your trip or if they would work with you to move it? Just wondering if you may need it (we went through something similar last year.)

Hey Everyone!!!


I'm not sure how many of you heard - but, a little over a month ago I was in a pretty bad car accident - I'm OK - was injured - but, I'm MUCH MUCH better and feeling good! I'm still in physical therapy - getting easier each day - I'm finally able to sit at the computer again!!! LOL I'm so happy to be back and wanted to Thank those of you who sent me get well notes and good wishes - you guys are the BEST!!!!

Anyway - was missing my Jambo, Kidani and WDW - so, I'm back - and so happy to see all of you again!!!!

SO - whats been going on here???? I want ALL of the news!!

Wendy, I am so happy you are back and feeling better. You have been missed here BIG time. Sending you wishes for your physical therapy getting easier and you healing better than brand new.

Hi! I'm hoping someone here can answer my question. How long a walk can we expect to get from the AKL lobby to where our rental car would be parked? We've only stayed at POR and it was very close to get to our car. I'm wondering what to expect at AKL. We'd rather drive to the parks each day than use the buses.....but hoping it's not a long hike to get the car.

As Wendy posted, it is not a long walk at all. We loved having a rental car to get around.

We're back. We just got home about an hour ago.

We loved LOVED AKL! We were there from 9/25-10/29, and it was so beautiful. We had Zebras and Ankole Cattle outside our window nearly every night we were there.

The Sunrise Safari was amazing, and we Jiko was our best meal all week. We got to sit at the cooking place and the three chefs were very friendly and wonderful to talk to!

I'll post some pics later. I made sure to get some Zebra Dome pics for you guys.

We spent the second half of our trip at the Poly, which we still love, but I think I love AKL almost as much. Now if only they could expand the monorail...
