Angel16 - I'm glad you are getting to go. Just take the time to relax and enjoy. You'll need a bit of that after what you've both been through. When will you be there until? We won't be "home" for about another week and a half.

I don't mind if it is in front of people or not. At least not right at this moment. As long as it's special, that's what matters. That's sort of why I would rather do it at the resort than a park. To propose in the parks or at a restaurant seems kind of cliche to me.

The only way I would do it in a park would be to do it durring Wishes because she is obsessed with Full House and that's when Danny finally proposed to Vicki, but without Jesse and the Rippers playing on stage it just wouldn't be the same (it may have just been Jesse without the Rippers, not 100% sure). I would rather do it at the resort when she would really least expect it.

With the fire roaring in the outside fire pit would also be a beautiful location.

Oh wow, how fantastic that you won a trip! The GF and Park Hoppers - plus surprises! Very, very nice!!!! And it comes at such a good time for you. Relax, enjoy and a time to get away from the stress for a bit. ENJOY!!!!!

We're going to be staying at AKL in Dec for our 2nd Dec trip there (first time was in Dec 2008)!!!

..Have any of you requested a room that is close to the lobby???

We have reserved a Savanna room w/bunk beds and had the same thing on our last stay there but our room was in the very last wing and the 2nd to last room from the end. It was a great location and quiet but it seemed like a forever walk after you've been walking all day!
I was thinking about calling in to possibly get a request to be closer to the lobby but didn't want to sound crazy since it's not a guarantee!

Got back yesterday...moved from YC CL after the WIne/Dine 1/2..to AKV!!!
had a wonderful 3 nights there!!
My cousin (from Berwyn TyRY) had never been and she never stopped talking about how fabulous the resort was!!!
We had a SV and I have never had so much animal action!! Wow..we were on Kudu Trail #5221..I will post pics when I get back to normal here....yes...insert LOL here!

We had a lovely dinner at Sanaa...great waiter named Rico....had my Jardin South African Chardonnay, after abstaining from alcohol pre race it was great! Enjoyed the pool, looks strange to me being blue...oh well....our room was ready when we got there around 1:30 which was great..esp since I hadn't slept yet from the night before...(race)

I knew this was the place to go to and relax , and I didnt even have to recover like I thought I would...I had visions of me at Zawahati getting a massage eating zebra domes...cancelled my massage and felt too guilty to eat any zebra domes!
I know...what happened to me?! lol

Congrats on the run!!!!!!!!!!! And I see you already have a ticker for the next one too! I'm still working my way to running a 5K, but I'm getting there. The thought of running 20 minutes straight without feeling like I'm gonna die is still foreign to me, but hopefully it won't be soon.

And you really had NO Zebra Domes this trip? None???

BTW - Henry is still wearing Ava's shirt! LOL He will outgrow it this year though.
