UH OHHHH - is this an UH OHHH or are you playing????

....you guys are well aware of my DH and his antics....well-l-l-l-l-l:

....okay, sooooooo, outta the blue, he says to me, "Wanna go to Kathy's [his sister] house on Saturday? We could leave early Saturday morning and get there late in the day." Originally, we planned on leaving early THURSDAY [next week] morning to spend some time at her home and then leaving EARLY Sautrday morning from N.C. to continue to WDW. So I asked him, "well, when would we be going to Florida?" He answers, "We could get there by MONDAY and leave WDW on Friday to get back home by Saturday." Okay, so lemme get this straight: he wants to drive 1,200 miles to spend LESS THAN 4 DAYS AT WDW???!!?!? :badpc: Not to mention, my DS and his GF are FLYING there on Saturday to arrive in the afternoon. What about THEM? :confused3 "Well, -- will be there and we could catch up with them later..." I said that this was not gonna work, so he replied that I could go by myself and take -- with me and that he doesn't really wanna go anyway...WTH???!?! Inevitably, he does this EVERY TIME we have a vaca planned...

...:confused3 I guess - I haven't really talked to him since he made that bonehead comment last night....

Well, it sucks - but hopefully, he'll come around and your plans can stay the way there were! I hope so, I know it's been a long wait for you!!! Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Hey Neighbor!!!! We own at AKV too!!! :goodvibes Have you stayed at Kidani before? You will LOOOOOOOOVEEEE it - it's gorgeous!!! :thumbsup2

Wow stay away for a little bit (what can I say, life gets in the way) and you are on to a new thread. I have been working with IPO to get everything set up for our Oct. trip and they are great. I have the Sunrise Safari booked and the first 3D Dessert Party during F&W. Booking for F&W didn't even open until 7 AM on July 20 and at 6:32 AM I got my confirmation. This is our 10th anniversary trip and they have made it so easy to put together a special vacation. Here's to counting down to Oct. 2nd.:yay: We are spending the first night at Kadani, then will move to Jambo House for 6 nights at club level. We bought DVC last year and this is our second time at AKV...and I have 3 more vacations in the planning stages. AKV is our home resort, but even if it wasn't I think we would be staying there. We just fell in love with it last time.

....Terry, that's sounds like an awesome trip you've got planned there...:thumbsup2

Kim - I have a husband who sometimes pulls shennanigans like that too. Know what? I plan my trips and go alone. If he wants to join me, that is fine. I keep him in the loop and make arrangements so that if he is there he can join me at ADRs and things like that. But, I know that I will be there alone for at least half of one of my trips every year.

I hope you decide to do this too.

I agree! I just want to add, Kimmar, that there are many of us here who would gladly meet up with you at WDW! :yay:

You could travel solo, but you won't be at WDW solo for very long -- lots of Jambo Wildbunch volunteers!!! ;)

....well, that's just it - I'm 'd*mned if I DO, I'm d*mned if I don't'....if I WERE to go solo, he'd never forget to bring it up to my face at every opportunity he can get....you know, that ol' guilt trip....and it's soooo not worth it...besides, HE really needs this vaca, even though he'll never admit to it...remember a few months back when we were trying to sell that property and it was giving us major agida? Now that that's turned out for the best, he really needs to spend some 'away' time from work and headaches...

Kimmar, I don't intend to minimize the seriousness of what you posted. Certainly you know your husband and what works and what doesn't.

I got a bit of nostalgia though when I read the post. Agida -- oh I miss the northeast! :sad1: (They don't know what "agida" is in Georgia! :rotfl2:)

I had to Google it :teeth:

Agida: Italian-American slang for heartburn but it can also mean mental aggravation. The word is Italian-American slang derived from the Italian "agitare" meaning "to agitate. Found an article about one of the stars of The Sopranos who's working on a new movie about feuding pizza parlor owners. The title: "Agida." ...
"Eew, I've got agida." (swallows) "Give some soda now, YUCK!"

 I can attest that when you hear someone from the NY Metropolitan area refer to agida, they're not tawking about their heartburn!!! :rotfl2:

Agreed. :thumbsup2

This will be my ticket to WDW, Kim, so - just say the word!! Y'all can let me in on the TRUE meaning of agida  while we sip Hairball Colavas by The Blue Lagoon (turning up our noses, of course :snooty:) :dance3:
