Is it only New England schools that get a winter break in February?

In Maine, the schools always get a week off in February (winter break) and a week in April (spring break). I believe this is true for most of New England, whereas I think most schools outside of New England get a week in March (spring break). I could be wrong, it's happened before.

So, IF you get a week in February (we get the week of the 18-22) what are you doing for fun?

We're going to Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Tucson. I can't wait to see sunshine (I forget what it looks like) and to eat outside, and to wear flipflops, and to not see snow and ice.

We're in Michigan and the kids in our district are off Feb 18-22. They will be out of school on Good Friday and the week after Easter also.

For February we're going to Florida, 4 days with family in Jacksonville and 4 days at WDW. We're ready for some sun and warm temps!

On long island we have off a week in Feb, a week in March and a week and a half in april!!!

In NJ, we get Presidents week off, plus the last full week of April.

When I was in school we got a midwinter break every year in Feb. for a week.
Now that I teach we don't, but we have spring break this year in mid March.

We're in NJ and we get Presidents Day and the day after off and then the week after Easter as well.

When we lived in CT we had a week in Feb. and a week in April off. Here in Idaho we have our 2 week break at Christmas then a week off in March for spring break. We're probably heading down to Oregon for spring break this year.

Another Long Islander here. Our district gets one week in Feb., four days in March (a Thursday and Friday and then Monday and Tuesday the next week) and a week in April.

NJ here - only 2 days for President's Week(We haven't had the full week off here in over 20 years) then 1 week in April.

Here in TN the school gets a fall break in Oct and then the 2 weeks for the holidays in Dec and usually 3-4 days in March and spring break in April.

NYC public and Catholic schools have midwinter recess Feb. 18-22.

Catholic schools have 7 days out in March for Easter. Public schools are out Good Friday.

Public schools have a week out in April for spring break.

We have Feb 25-29 off for winter break. Wish we were going somewhere warm but taking the kids skiing instead. They have another week long vacation April 21-25.

Here in MA we get Presidents week and the week of Patriots Day in April (and no, its not for the football team).

We're going to Disneyland in Febrary, nowhere in April.

Some schools in NJ get the full week, my sisters kids get the week off the whole week, we lived 2 towns over and my DS didn't get the week off.

Central NY - we have off the all of Presidents Week and April 14-18

We don't. Our schools get Veteran’s Day, 2 days at Thanksgiving, 2 weeks for Winter Break, MLK Day, 1 day for President's Day, 1 week Spring Break and Memorial Day. This has pretty much been the schedule since I was a kid, only we had both Washington's and Lincoln's bdays off. Martin Luther King Day wasn't enacted then.

Nothing...how sad.

We never go away anymore since we had kids.

But I am hoping to take the kids (6, 4, almost 2) to Mystic Aquarium for one day/am, then there is a play place that just opened up in a nearby town so I will take them there & it's only $5/kid..cheap!

I may go to my parents house (they live an hour from me) for the day.

Maybe one of my older 2 will have a play date.
