hi all, just wondering what is the pool chair situation at rpr when its a busy time.. we will be there in july and on some days we want to hang by the pool early in the day and then head to the parks.. do u have to get up early and hold a chair if you want a umbrella and if so how early?? bahamas last year was ridiculous by 7:30am all chairs were almost gone.. i hate that.. or can u just get there when u want and there is avaliable chairs..thanks!!!!

We just returned from our stay at RPR and, yes, the chair situation at the pool can be a problem. Here's the deal...a lot of people do not bother take their towels off of the chairs when they leave, so it appears that a lot of chairs are taken when that's really not the case. We took 2 chairs that were empty and then waited for about 20 minutes to see if anyone returned to the two chairs next to us (which had towels on them). When it was obvious that no one was coming back, we took those chairs, too.. You just have to use a little courtesy and common sense. (Around 5:00 the pool area cleared out considerably)

You need to plan ahead for the Dive-In movies too.

is there a way to find out when the dive in movie is playing or its at diffferent times...also is guess it is necessary to get out early and put some personal objects on the lounges so you will have them for after breakfast.. exspecially if u want a specific spot...thanks

humm, I saw the staff "clearing" chairs of towels, etc. Your stuff may end up in the lost and found.... During our Aug stay, we had absolutly no problem getting chairs. There were tons.

When we where there last July, most people when leaving did not bother to take the towels and return them when they where leaving, hence all the chairs looked as if they where being used.
The staff at the pool are excellent, they go round and take towels of the chairs that have been sitting for a while ,they seem to keep check and then remove them, probably went round every 20 mins, doing this.
No one seemed to leave items on their chairs and then return at a later time, so beware if you do this,as they will just clear everthing if it is left for a while.
