Is it mandatory to include all sisters in the bridal party?

I asked my sister and my DFi's sister-in-law because I felt it was right that the whole family was included - then again, I only have 1 sister (unmarried) and he only has 1 brother (married to the aforementioned sister-in-law), so that made it easier on me.

I got marrried and wanted a small wedding party so chose my sister and aunt (aunt is 4 yrs older than me).

When my sister got married 3 years ago, she didn't want me in the wedding but was going to include my then 9 yr old daughter as a jr bridesmaid. (At the time she said she didn't want a flower girl.) I was honest with her about how much it hurt me to not be included in the wedding. Well, then she told me that my daughter was out too... Note: my aunt was included in her wedding.

I only showed up briefly at the event because it hurt so much. To make matters worse she invited my stepsister's children to be flower girl and ring bearer too.

ah, I wore black to the church and sat in the back. She never even asked us to be in any of her pictures either.

Still hurts...just proofreading this.... :sad2:
