Is It Just Too Late?

Thinking about a "spur of the moment" trip to Disney Sept 13-18. I know dining reservations can be made 90 days in advance and we are looking at 48 days out now. Is it most likely too late to get into first choices or even second, third choice restaurants by now?

I'd still go. But ADR's seem even harder to come by. I think people are making mutiple reservations even more then they used to since now it can be done online.

Maybe...maybe not. Depends on how flexible you can be. If you have a specific list of places and times you want I'd say you're probably going to be disappointed. But if you have a list of places you're willing to try, and will be happy to just get in at whatever time you can take, chances are you'll find places to eat.

I've had situations in the past where I've booked ADR's just three weeks before. Did I get a prime time? No...but I still got in.

Just this past spring my daughter was at WDW with her senior class and they wanted to eat at a TS somewhere. They weren't very picky, and the concierge at their hotel had NO trouble finding them a place to eat.

If you're excited about a spur-of-the-moment trip, then you're probably the type who can be excited about dining-on-the-fly...meaning just take what you can get as long as you have a place to eat.

If you are flexible with dates or times you should be fine.

Try lunches too, they always seem to be more available.

You really shouldn't have a problem, but you need to be persistent. Cancellations happen all the time. We were able to get a 6pm Le Cellier at about the 75 day mark. Just keep checking and check several times a day.

I would just get on-line and check availability. Switch it around a bit if you have to. If you are not happy with your choices you may want to change your vacation dates if you can.

It's never too late to go to WDW!!!

Like others said, as long as your flexible and open to maybe trying some new restaurants, you should be fine. Go and have a great time!

we just made our reservations four days ago.....we got the pkg and free dining and we had some help from the CM that we called.....we got some good restaurants every night....maybe not my first choice but good ones......I thnk it is still a go....

I've gotten amazing reservations only a few days out for clients...and some of those are during Free Dining...so don't give up hope, be flexible. Don't expect that you can easily get a Fantasmic dining package, though.

system. You might be surprised. I just put in two adults and two kids for a 6:30 PM ADR at Biergarten for 9/15. There is availability at 6:25 and 6:40. Additionally there is availability at Marrakesh, Rose and Crown and Bistro de Paris. The options at the MK the next night are a little more sparse. The Plaza, LTT and Tony's all had openings.

I made a reservation just a few days ago for September 6th. Rose and Crown for lunch at 3:00. That's the exact time we wanted and there were plenty of other options given to me. Of course, the LeCellier thing I tried didn't work but there are still openings out there.

We're going to WDW Sept 12 - 19th and am still tweaking ADR's. We just got CRT for dinner and had to switch around a couple of other ADRs to accommodate this. There were plenty of options still open all week. Keep trying on the online system.

Daughter decided she wanted to go to Disney Aug 13-18th 4 days ago. After 3 days of searching I got Le Cellier 5:05pm ressie, Tuto 5:25pm. Its entirely possible to get your first pick resturant-maybe not exact times but darn well pretty close to it. People are cancelling ressies all the time! Persistance pays off big time!!! So go and have a blast.
