or does the week before you leave for WDW seem to drag by foreverand the time you spend there flies by before you know it?

Leaving friday and it can't get here soon enough!:bounce:

Hang in there! For me, it always helps to think "next week at this time I'll be ______ (fill in the blank with whatever wonderful WDW thing you can picture yourself doing)." It's kinda like a psychological WDW appetizer. . . and next week will be your WDW "feast"!!!! :Pinkbounc

Your WDW "feast" will be here sooner than you think!!
HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

:D

I know the feeling. The anxiety before I go causes me to lose sleep and totally ignore anything else going on in my life. Once I'm there, it doesn't seem as though I have enough time to do everything that I want. It just happens so quickly, like a flash before my eyes. Thank goodness for cameras to capture the moment.

Mandalou, I love the "next week at this time I'll be ______ (fill in the blank with whatever wonderful WDW thing you can picture yourself doing)."

I do the same thing!

The worst, though is when you are thinking "yesterday at this time I was ______" which I am playing right now:(

Not this time. We're leaving in two days and I'm not even packed yet! I'll be up late the next couple of nights getting everything done!

it's not just you. It drags and drags and drags. I even get irritable at work.

Then the week you're there flies by in a flash. It's totally amazing. Some type of weird time warp...

I totally, totally agree! I swear time is currently standing still for me right now. I think I plan and research and then when the trip is almost here there is nothing more for me to do. I have all my lists done. I even started packing! I think I am driving my family crazy. :p

It's always that way! It totally stinks!

Mandalou and StitchChick, I do the same thing too! :teeth: The after version of the game isn't quite as fun though. :(

I know what ya mean.

Nothing like waiting 51 one weeks that d--r--a--g for 1 week at WDW that goes by in a flash!

We've been doing the "next week at this time" all week! I think the last week before a trip flies by. I usually have things to do that can only be done the week before we go and it seems I have to rush to do it all. Funny that I know I go to WDW every October yet I still rush around the week before.

I just did the "Next week at this time we'll be at _______" with my DW. I had dinner with her at her work and she was a little tired so I said," Next week at this time we will be at Hoop Dee Doo!" This made both of us smile.
Also, it seems that the closer to the trip you get the more addicted to the Dis we become!!:)

been playing the "next wk we'll be at ---" game since sat
Today it was "next wk we'll be at Donald's, AK and O'Hana's"
and i agree its not as much fun to play "last wk we were at -"

Our suitcases are 1/2way to FL, just need to get DS & myself to the airport Fri

I agree the week before seems to go on forever.

Gee, I thought we were the only ones that play the "Next week we'll be ..."

Next week at this time we'll nave had our first park day. Third trip this year so we won't feel the need to rush quite so much. Drug out the luggage this afternoon, threw away (sniff, sniff) a time guide for MGM from our trip in June 2004, Opened another, unused suitecase, found paperwork and receipts from our GF trip in July of '99 :earseek: :earseek: gasp! Can't believe it was that long ago till I look at DD's 7 & 9 and remember that the only pool I saw that trip was the kiddie pool! How time has flown. Guess I'll spend tomorrow sorting through which clothes to take for me and DH. Too early to pack for the princesses ;) they'll change their minds a million times. See y'all next week.

No, I leave in two days and I have am so not ready. I have a million things to do still! Okay, so I shouldn't be reading these boards, I should be packing!

But, you are right in that the time flys by way too fast while you are there!

I play the next month game! :p It's pitiful......

Hate that Timewarp - I wish it worked the other way around -Time flying by til the trip, then Magically slowing way down while you're there - Ahhhhhh..... That'd be nice.

Played last night with DW, and we would be be walking back to the BCV holding hands after watching Illuminations. Could be a stop on the Boardwalk or hopping over to PI. We have some definite plans but, this trip it's just the two of us after our grandson leaves Tue. night. Our first empty nest trip and we plan to take it easy and just go with the flow.

Well, this past weekend, we were playing the, "This time in 9 weeks, we'll be _____". How's that for obsessive?

At least tomorrow, Oct 1st, I can say we're going NEXT MONTH!

:bounce:

We really need a break from reality. We're playing the "7 months from today we'll be ___________" game. (Which is better than the game we played last month, "8 months from today we'll be_________"!)

I hate to wish time away, but we're all beginning to feel a little

Have fun! :wave2:
