Is it just me or is Spaceship Earth getting "rough"?

that it's getting ragedy. Bumpy and the sound system is getting really bad. It's so sad - this is a signature attraction for Epcot, not to mention the Icon for the park. It needs a little attention. I just hope I'm not visiting when they do finally rehab it. I can't imagine going and not riding Spaceship Earth.

Speaking of Spaceship Earth, does anyone remember the original ending? Instead of the "incredible view of the planet" it was a modern looking city...I think. I can hardly remember. But I remember my mother LOVED it. It was her favorite part of the ride.

I dont remember the other ending, BUT, when at the top before coming down, and while looking at the "earth" up in the sky...........if you look down, there is a large expanse across the room (all in black). I'd love to just see what all of that is in there.........you know.......across the floor level all over the room. It look slike a bunch of stuff covered in black tarp or something.

Were't they talking about rehab for it? I guess the sponsor change affected the timeline, but I still think they are planning on closing it down for complete rehaul. I read about this a year or so ago. They probably don't want to do any major repairs because they want to do something big.

If you are referring to "Project Gemini", and the "Time Racers" proposal..........as far as I know.......that proposal has been killed.

SE KILLS my spine and its roughness is part of the reason.

I always get bruises after I ride it, that go up my spine. When those cars turn and you're tilted backwards and you hit one of those rough spots... ouch.

Oh yes it got rougher- and last year my FAVORITE diamon earring (a small hoop) popped off down into neverland. I was so upset but had the kids with me so I just smiled and said oh well. But inside was thinking Holy @$#@*! I hope they work out the bumps this year(oh and I am not wearing any jewelry!)

I still remember how smooth it ran when it first opened. Now I'm lucky if I can get through it without banging my head on that stupid headrest from all the bumps :furious:. Those seats definately need some padding!
