I loved Renee, and I think she'll be ok. I do seriously question her judgement though, leaving that sweet boy for 2 months and then reuniting with him while cameras were present?!? Ugh, I felt horrible watching it!

Does anyone else think Renee resembles Princess Kate?

She didn't look like any of her sisters, but I sure saw her in her Mom.

I'm sure Renee will find a great guy soon. She came off really well this series, very mature and sweet.

What happened to Chris Harrison? He usually tells the one girl to say her goodbyes.

It seems to me that Chris Harrison has been rather obviously absent this season. I even googled it, to see if maybe he'd had some emergency or something else to keep him away from the show. All I can come up with is that Juan Pablo isn't exactly Chris's favorite bachelor. I found several comments that Chris Harrison made that made it rather obvious that he isn't too fond of Juan Pablo.

He has a blog on EW, which is fairly spoiler free, but I read an article he did somewhere else that he says that Juan Pablo definitely didn't live up to the hype, and might not have been the best choice for Bachelor. It also has some insight into Sharlen's departure.

OK... My thoughts about last night:
first: YAWN! So boring!

Nikki's date... I seriously don't remember one thing about her hometown date. She must have done a great job coaching her family ahead of time what to say. Bravo, they all stuck to their script!

I agree, it felt painful to watch Renee's reunion with her son. It was a really personal moment that should have been kept personal. Not to mention that as soon as he got out of the car, Juan Pablo jumped right up and got in there. Seriously dude, back the F up and give them a minute!!!!!

Andi- LOVED the gun range! And loved her dad's opinions, how he kept bringing up, "And how many other girls were there? And how many other girls were there?" lol!!!
It was kinda strange that after the date, they sat on the bench right outside the door and made out. That whole thing just felt...scripted somehow.

If you haven't watched the episode yet, you should make a drinking game out of how often Clare or her sisters or Juan Pablo mention Daddy. You would be blacked out before the Rose Ceremony. That was even more painful to watch than Renee's son, because it really felt like dad was a "gimmick" and it just turned my stomach by the end.
I m glad that Juan Pablo got to meet her crazy sister- pssst- JP, that is what you have to look forward to once Crazy Clare settles down and lets herself go.

I thought the same thing- I noticed that when she did talk she didn't open her mouth very much. I couldn't help but wonder if she had a stroke or heavy amounts of dental work recently.

lillygator - we were just there a month ago and LOVE the area. Sigh...wish we were back...it's -6C here (or 24F.) Saw the statue, St. Armand's Circle. We stay in Bradenton and love to drive down along Gulf of Mexico Drive. Hope to return next winter!!!

The problem for me with this show is you really start out liking the bachelor or bachelorette and by the end of the show you just don't care. I was very excited for Juan Pablo because he "seemed" a little different....caring father, good role model and then BOOM....all he cares about is finding A stepmother for his daughter and is about as smart as a box of rocks. I live here in Miami and have no idea what his job is at the Marlins Stadium...anyone know? Also, if he has lived here for soooo long, why does he act like he doesn't even understand English? So, it looks like he wants someone like Nikki or Clare and definately not someone like Renee. She is too "plain" for him and it came off as he isn't interested in being any kind of stepfather to her child. Did anyone notice that when they got out of the car to go to her parent's house, her son looked like a tag-a-long but when they got to the door he was in the front??? I am so glad my daughters would NEVER think of doing a show like this because I would be like the father and tear into him for dating 4girls at a time...(actually, I wouldn't even appear if they had a hometown date!!!) so my daughters probably wouldn't even get picked...phew! Why oh why do I watch this train wreck??????

What parent would find him as a suitable son in law? He excretes "I weell cheat on your dotter with many guuuuurlzzzz" Glad Renee is gone, she deserves much better. She is the total image of her Mom! I hope she isn't the next Bachelorette but I bet she will be since she's soooo loved. We'll see.
