Is it harder to get PSs at table service now that so many have MYW dining?

tigertam,

Check out www.allearsnet.com for the complete run-down.

1. Click on Dining
2. Scroll down and look on the left side margin.
3. You'll see a Priority Seating FAQ.

Enjoy! I LOVE looking at all the menus. Anticipation and planning is half the fun of a WDW vacation. :goodvibes

Thank you Pennyplanner! That priority seating planning report is cool! Any other cool planners for the novice?

I found that we had better luck calling closer, I'd say I called about30-45 days out and got all the times i wanted except one within about 20 minutes of requested time. also being on the MYW plan once there we wanted to change some times and being on the plan we got the times we wanted again within 20 minutes of our request. We also were offered later times for those of you who want those later time. one word be willing to accept even with PS we waited along time at a few resturants for seating. the big thing that MYW is doing according to our servers is messing up the kitchens.appetizers, entrees and desserts for all they just are not handling it well yet. Sone not all.

If you go by us, MYW Dining has to be having some effect. We are going to be eating more than double the number of table service meals this trip because of MYWD. And as the previous poster has said, will be ordering appetizers and desserts. We surely would not have done that in the past.

A thought: a couple of years ago it was a good deal on rooms with the 7 for 4 deal. This year the rooms seem high but you can clean up on food.

We just got back this AM- We had our PS ahead of time without problems, but were not able to change any while there. I saw that a few Rest. were turning a lot of people away without PS. People were waiting 2+ hours at Ohana, without a PS, Fri. evening

Yes, I've heard this also. We're going in July and I made all our TS PS's at 90 days.

I do believe that MYW with dining will effect the TS restaurants and make them busier than ever.

After reading everyone replies (than you all) I think that this year I will make my PS's now. I just noticed that the July park hours are open so that will help with my planning. We have been going most summers for 16 years and we have never tried O'hana's. That is the first ps I will make!
!only 2 more months!

I dont know but I have gotten everyone I wanted..but we like to eat later than most people so maybe that helps..

We had the same experience. We were there last week, a week that didn't seem crowded, yet we saw people being turned away for meals all over the World. We were at the Concourse Steakhouse at 6:00 on Wednesday and witnessed a man being told that not only couldn't he eat there, but that there were no restaurants available to him anywhere on the monorail line. The person went on to say this was due to the new dining plan.

So make your PS's in advance! Or eat at Spoodles - that doesn't seem very popular. I like it though.

ok, we are back now. We had no problem getting priority seatings while we were there. I found going to the hotel lobby was easier than calling from the room. We even got Narcossee's, which we got there and told them we weren't interested after reading the menu in full (seemed different than online one), then when we walked from there to the Grand Floridian Cafe, we were sat instantly with no seating arranged.

I don't think it was hard to get seatings.

Where did you find the July hours??? I would love to have this info :) THanks!

I just made my PS's today and we leave on the 14th. I had no problems. I was able to get PS's between 6pm and 7pm for:Si-FI, Kona Cafe, Le Cellier Steakhouse, Rose and Crow Pub and Concourse Steakhouse.

My DU agent was able to get us CRT and PSB at the times wanted and all of our other PS. I think there will still be the same amount of people who don't call ahead and don't make their plans until that particular day.

jenr812 - just go to the top of the board and click on Park Hours - July is finally there!
