Slightly off topic, but have you ever noticed how car horns have different personalities to them? My husband and I joke how his car horn sounds mean no matter how short of a beep you try to make! Other ones just *sound* friendlier than others. I wish they had 2 horn options, a friendly, happy sound that would be for saying 'hi' to someone you know, politely telling people to watch out (as in this case), etc. and a jarring, mean sounding beep to really get your point across when needed!![]()
So true! My husband always laughs at my car (a Hyundai Tucson) because it has this wimpy little "meep." His car, a Pontiac Grand Am, has a nice solid HONK.
I love the idea of 2 horn options.
It reminds me of my dad's antique car. His horn developed a short in it, so every time you'd try to honk it, you'd get a good jolt. My mom bought him a different horn one year as a Christmas gift, but you had to pull a cord from under the dashboard. You had a choice between getting a good shock or some really cool Aaa-oo-gah types of beeps with the cord.
Good times, good times. My kids really missed out in life by not getting a big shock when they beeped the horn!
