Is it a Post Card or Coupon?

Can anyone tell me, if that $50 onboard credit is an ACTUAL post card or a coupon? I have a post card that specifically states in very, very small print that you must send the post card in by 12/31/01 to request an introductory Disney Cruise Video and in the same package would be the $50 onboard credit. The video would take 6-8 wks to receive. When I called Disney Cruise Line Reservation they said it was a code on the Coupon that is required to get the credit. Also, Disney did not want to honor the post card since the deadline was past even though the person I got it from cruised in late Jan2002 and it was given to him on his cruise. Other posts that I have read state that some people just call in and get the $50 credit by just stating that they have a post card. No where do I read anything where individuals sate that they had to obtain a "coupon". I know others got it through joining the Disney Club, but that is another animal. So, the question is, is for whoever was able to obtain this ellusive $50 credit from a "post card", was it really an actual Post Card or a Coupon Code (by going through the scenario I wrote about earlier with the intro video)?

This is an actual postcard that you mail to receive the Disney Planning Video. On the postcard, there are codes you use to receive the $50 onboard credit. A very nice person sent me all this when the Feb. postcard post first appeared. I received the video and contacted my TA with the required code from the postcard and she got me the $50 credit. I believe it still works this way. From what I've read on these posts, there is an expiration date so you have to make sure of what it is when you send for the video. Hope this helps.

I guess I don't have the same type of post card as you did as mine has no codes on it. It is mainly a card that you send in to get a video that suppose to have a $50 coupon in it. Do you recall where on the Post Card you saw this code? There is a CST# on the bottom left corner, is that what you are refering too?

Someone on here generously offered me the postcard....I called Disney Cruise line to be sure I could use it since I was already booked...they said all they needed was the code on the card and they did it right over the phone, they said I didn't even need to mail in the card....

I can vouch for the expired cards being given away in Jan. 2002. We got some as well, and I was going to give them out to people on the boards but I tossed them when I saw the expiration date. A little faux pas on DCL's part!

Hi - I actually never saw the postcard . The person who sent me the e-mail offering it to me sent in the card for me and gave me the number off the card thru my e-mail account. I, in turn, gave this number to my TA. So I really don't know where the number is located. The number she gave me was a CST # so that's probably the one you would use.

TO: Dopey and Grumpy

I tried to use the CST# but the Disney Rep refused to accept it. She kept saying I had to send the Post Card in to get the video and the coupon. I guess it's the luck of the draw on who answers the phone. There appears to be no consistent method that they employ and I just got the short end of the stick on this one.
