Is it a bad sign for the vacation when you faint on the plane? COMPLETED!

So glad Liam got a good nap in. Oddly enough, we have gotten Dole Whips and used that little meet n greet area when my son was sleeping! But what a great idea about the receiving blanket and binder clips. I never thought of that.

Keeping my fingers crossed that now everyone's had some relaxation and is well fed, the day goes much much more in your favor. :goodvibes

Dole whips don't always melt all over your hands??? Who knew! When we go in the summer they are always a big sticky mess! ;)
I went on and on to DH about it not melting. All thou I don't think having that cold of weather for your Florida vacation is worth it just to keep your Dole Whip frozen.

I figured out the binder clip thing over the summer when we took Liam to Santa's Village. If you notice in the pictures of the stroller there is a blue thing hanging off the handles.....that is my $3 lawn chair organizer that I found at Wal-mart. Not only does it make the stroller stand out, but it gives me a place to keep those binder clips and other odds and ends.

I too hope things turn around for us! Otherwise this is going to be a very boring TR!

I love the Liberty Tree, it's the History Geek inside of me. Just love it.

A Dole Whip that didn't melt!?! :scared1:

I love the light near the Noodle Station Terrace.

I remembered the Liberty Tree from your TR....it was one of those "I need to find that next time"

I didn't realize it was a light at first, just thought it was a prop.

Just found your TR - your title sucked me in, as I too fainted on the plane to Disney when I was pg with my girls!

I have to say, from the way you are writing your TR you have the BEST attitude about how your little guy is doing. Kudos to you momma, for not flipping your gourd and remembering your toddler is a toddler. Yay you! :)

Looking forward to more, but I do have a huge favor to ask. Do you have any pics of your Crocs messenger bag loaded with stuff for the parks? I really liked that bag in your pre-TR, and was wondering how it did in the parks.

Thanks!

Then we made our way to Adventureland. It was the first time I noticed this on top of one of the buildings:

Love that little detail! COOL I've NEVER seen that!

We hung out in this little Meet n’ Greet alcove while I ate my Dole Whip and Liam slept.

Just had to share "I have one of those"

This actually Mae when she was 2 1/2 during our 05 trip :goodvibes

Liam’s nap was about an hour and 20 minutes. And he woke up in a good mood!!! Next we looked for a place to sit down and feed him the lunch we had packed for him. YAY!!!!! :worship:

Thanks for the nice update and the great news about Liam's nap. Hoping the rest does him well. Looking forward to more fun and all the little Disney Magical finds!

I love dole whip floats!!!!!:goodvibes
In 19 days I'll be enjoying my own.......I can't wait!

Ive never noticed the carpet weaver detail before!

So glad Liam took a nap! Hopefully, your day gets better!

I could use that Dole Whip about now! :cool1:

Thanks for joining us!

I don't have any more pictures of the Crocs bag, but it worked wonderfully for the parks. You can fit a lot in it and I had no problems with it on any of the rides. I use it everyday now and am thinking of getting a second one to use for a diaper bag for the new baby.

Have a second Dole Whip for me please.....in fact if there are any snacks that you want you can just say that you are having them for me....no calories that way!

I think I could have a Dole Whip everyday!!

I forgot about that organzier. Another great idea, and I actually think I have one of those. What did you keep in there besides the binder clips?

I kept stuff in it that I really didn't care if it was stolen and that we would want in the parks with us each day.

Recieving blanket
Binder clips
travel size sun block for Liam and for us
a few Dollar Store toys
napkins
cheap disposable ponchos
glow sticks

At home I keep an extra diaper and wipes in it.

Excellent, thanks.

Wow, it was empty at Magic Kingdom that day! Why on earth didn't we go on the 28th rather than go to EPCOT that morning for the morning EMH. It certainly was not worth it for me!

I avoid EMH mornings at all costs.

Now Liam has napped, eaten lunch, and has had a pit stop at the Baby Care Center.

I decided to be brave (or foolish as it was about the same at this point) and take Liam to get his first hair cut at the Main Street Barber shop. Quite frankly the kid really needed his hair cut and I figured if he was going to have a fit about it anyways we might as well get free Mouse ears out of it. I’m guessing that it was about 12noon. The line wasn’t bad. It looked like there was 1 boy in front of us plus the two people that were already in the chairs. In reality there 2 other women that were waiting as well, their girlfriend was already in the chair. DH walked around the area with Liam to try to keep him busy, while I stood in line. The Barber shop is so small…that I was outside the whole time in line. I chatted with the Mom that was ahead of me….she was telling me that their first trip with their son all they could ride with him was It’s a Small World…..over and over again. Here’s a funny story about the boy in front of me in line….he was about 12 I’d say. He was getting a trim and the colored gel for his hair. His Barber asked him what 2 colors would he like…..the boy choose blue and pink. His father (who was also there) about died! You should have seen his face….Priceless! He tried so hard to get his son to pick something other then pink without really saying what you knew he was really thinking about it. Nope….young son got blue and pink hair….and it was mostly pink!
We had a near scare at this point because Daisy Duck came out to do a meet and greet very close to the Barber Shop….some how DH kept Liam from seeing her.

Then it was Liam’s turn.

He had Diane as his Barber….she was wonderful! I asked about Liam sitting on Dad’s lap but Diane wanted to try doing it on the booster seat thing first, which I was ok with….I figured she does this every day so I trusted her judgment. She tried to give Liam stickers….well I had the only kid at Disney that could care less about stickers. So I whipped out the big sippy cup of apple juice, and Diane got to cuttin’.

I stopped taking pictures at this point to entertain Liam with a Buzz Lightyear toy that his Barber had for the kids to play with.

Liam was so good for his hair cut. At the end Diane asked if she should buzz the back of his neck and I say no to that….I think it would have scared him and I didn’t want to ruin a perfect memory.

We were given some of his hair, a certificate, little kid mouse ears that say first hair cut on the back….all that for $14. Plus a good tip for the Barber.

Finally a bit of Disney Magic for us!

Weekly mini baby update: We're at 25 weeks to go. She's about the weight of a Rutabaga! And she's a kicker.....

I had waited to get DS2 his first haircut at the Barber Shop at MK. It was great! He did so well! I went during the 3pm parade so that entertained the boys while we were waiting. We had Penny and she put stickers all of him and gave him the Tinkerbell light up toy. Such a great memory, right?

It is a really sweet experience! I see that you braved the buzzers with your little guy.

I was really worried that he was going to have a major meltdown and he'd end up with half of a hair cut....but he just drank his juice and didn't even pay much attention to the "stranger" playing with his hair.
