Good morning! Wondering if anyone has any firsthand experience getting a taxi (with voucher) from WL to Palm/Magnolia mid-Aug. I wasn’t sure if proximity to the course made it easier or more difficult to get a cab for such a short hop

We’re at MCO after a stay at BCV (we own there and almost always stay there). The taxi situation for DH’s morning tee-time has never been stellar but it was abysmal (maybe bc of the portico construction but it seemed to simply be a worsening of similar issues we’ve experienced at BC). We’re thinking of trying BRV next Aug (we’re 1 bd dwellers so usually not too difficult to trade out). TIA!

Bumping hoping someone can answer! I will say occasionally in the parking lot I will see cabs on standby in the parking lot near the villas side of the lot. I thing with Uber/Lyft being so prevalent these days I don't see as many cabs as before those services became a thing.

Morning, Groupies! Weird weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains what with overnight lows in the high 40s and daytime highs in the high 60s/low 70s--both nearly 10 degrees below average for this time of the year. I'm sure there's some warmth yet to come, but not in the foreseeable future.

With that comes all the fall stuff what with school, football, pumpkin spice lattes, and Halloween decorations (the latter of which I saw in our local Lowe's on 31 July!). I won't lie--gonna miss summer. These old bones enjoy warmth--cold, not so much.

Above all, though, be kind to your fellow travelers on this big blue marble. Let's all agree to make life easier for those in need rather than more difficult. And, let's decide to show grace so that we may be shown the same down the road. Stay safe, Groupies!
