We went May 07, Dec 07, (First time we went twice in one year) Loved it
We want to go July 08, Dec 08 and Aug 09 and try a annual pass???
We always stay off site, just our personal choice. Plus sometimes we have relatives with us.
Are we being greedy??? We can afford it and we make our kids save spending money from chores that they do? What am I feeling guilty about?:confused3
JUST DO IT, RIGHT? Yes, I am a little nuts:rotfl2:

If you're selfish, then so am I. If I could go three times in a year, I would. :cheer2: Or maybe I'd take one really long trip...

The DIS boards are the only place where I use emoticons.

I am going twice this year for a total of 17 nights. Still hoping to figure out how to get a third trip in. If you can do it, and you want to, do it and do not feel guilty.

Look at it this way if you start feeling guilty - Your going three times just provides Disney more profit so that they do not have to raise prices.. :rotfl2: You could consider it a public service to those who could not afford higher prices....

(There is no limit I could not go to in order to justify another trip to Disney!:lmao:)

Coming from two fellow Albertans that will have had 4 trips in the past year (with our upcoming May trip) ... we'd say definitely not ;)

We too bought annual passes and because of that we stay on-site for the AP discount, but have previously stayed off-site as well. We also look for seat sales on the US carriers (last few were about $350 CDN/pp return with taxes) which makes it a little easier to justify the extra trips :goodvibes

We went in Jan 08, we have free dining booked for Sept 08, and we have a grand gathering booked for Dec 08. I've also talked DH into upgrading our tix's to AP's in Sept. So of course we'll have to get our use out of it over the next year also;) .

Thank you sooooooooooooooooo much!!! I feel much better. And yes if I can help keep down the WDW prices in anyway I guess I will have to do my part:rotfl2: .

July 08 will be 16 days and hopefully in Dec 08 for 10 -12 days and
April another 9 or 10 days. So even without staying onsite for the discounts it will be worth it!

WDW Here we come ... again and again and again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:

:scared1: Too MUCH:rotfl: Is it even possible to go to Disney TOO many times:yay: We go at least twice a year and possibly three times if we can and it's never enough! You can't get too much magic in your life that's for sure. (of course, you're gonna get those crazies around you that think your nuts for always going, but that's another thread)!

We did WDW 5 times in a 12 month period on our APs
Dec 06
May 07
Aug 07
Oct 07
Dec 07

We had a ball but were ready for a break.

From a fellow Albertan, traveling out of Edmonton. Can I ask which airline you fly with most frequently and what are some of the rates you have paid. We went to WDW Oct 07 for our first trip and paid $347 for flights - in my opinion a great deal. :cool1: I am just wondering if these kind of fares are offered fairly frequently.

And no I don't think 3 times in a year is too much if you can afford it and your family likes it, then I say go for it. Anytime you can create great family memories together is a good time in my book.

Thanks
Vickie

We have usually paid around $475 to $500 per person, but have gone around Spring Break and Christmas. This time it was $365 for July a good deal. We have gone, NWA, United, Continental and Delta. I think if you can book ahead and not at peak times, you can get a good deal.

I might be reading this wrong but if you were planning on usuing an AP for all these trips it will expire before your Aug 09 trip.

I think it's great you can go as much as you do, don't feel guilty.

I saw that United had some low fares from Edmonton to Orlando for $375 for the next while, try punching a flexible dates search into travelocity and see if the dates work for you.

Yes, thank you. After I posted I realized I put Aug 09 instead of April 09.
So three times hopefully:worship:

That's a good price if it included taxes ... most of the cheaper flights we've gotten were through NWA and paid $367 CAD taxes included for May 08, $317 CAD taxes included in January 08 and $346 CAD taxes included for May 07. We fly NWA as we find their flight times fit our schedule the best.

Bonny

according to my dh 3 times in 1 year was too much - I was ready for a different vacation after the 3 times too but now that we haven't been since last August I'm ready to go back!!

You are so not being greedy...If I could I would live there or at the very least if I could afford it I would go whenever possible...so go and enjoy yourselves...
