Is FOTL worth $300 in early June?

This is our first trip ever to US. I have visited Citywalk and loved it and can't wait to take my daughter the coaster freak to US/IOA. Anyway, the difference in onsite and offsite for us would be $300. Is it worth it the first week in June. We are used to Fastpass and don't like to wait in lines and want to make the most of our touring time.

Thanks,
Mary

Make sure you check AAA rates.

Remember, there is more to staying onsite than just FOTL. If you want to enjoy it to its fullest, stay onsite.

I agree with damo,
we could have stayed offsite this year for about $300.00 less too but concidering the perks of the FOTL and being so close to the park that if you get tired you just go back to the hotel and relax or just hang out at the pools at any of the onsite hotels since pool hopping is encouraged we figured it in where we would be able to stay onsite and this will be our first time and we are going in July.

Thanks, I had about decided it on my own. Now I just have to decided if we can really afford this vacation.

How many people and how many days? I think it's best to think in costs per person per day.

Also if you stay ONE night on property, you effectively get TWO days of FOTL. It's a hassle, of course, but if money is an issue...

I think $300 is worth it - but for how many nights are you talking? It it's for one night, then you'll probably come out better buying express passes.

My DH says that staying in one of the Universal on-site resorts is just like the Mastercard commercial says "Priceless!"

Kelly made a good point, and we've done that - got 2 days FOTL for one night's hotel stay. We stayed in a cheaper hotel the evening we arrived. Next morning checked out early and checked into the HRH before the parks opened. We couldn't get into the room, but we got our room keys and headed to the parks. Then your room keys are good the day you check out as well.

If the difference was only $300.00 I might have stay onsite. I stayed offsite last week for a savings over $1000.00.

love the convenience of onsite. for me vacation is about relaxing, and there is no better way to relax than to stay onsite.

It is pretty easy to find a hotel for $49 in Orlando. I don't think that would lure me away from the comfort of my deluxe hotel, though. Everybody has different priorities in a vacation.

I think I going to bite the bullet and do it. Two nights on site will give us 3 days of FOTL them we can move closer to Sea World for the last few nights.
I have the 7 day tickets so if we feel like going back we can and stand in line with "the common people". We don't do lines well at all.
Thanks for all of the opinions.
