I asked over on the resort board and was told any/everyone uses it
Is it close enough to Stormalong that its used as an overflow?

Any BC or BCV guest can use this pool. DVC members staying on points may not hop to the Dunes Cove pool, just like they cannot hop to SAB.

I haven't seen it that busy during the day. But it is my pool of choice when I stay at BCV.

There is another "quiet pool" at BC that would be closer for most BC guests.

I like the spa/hot tub at the BCV better than the ones at SAB, as a matter of fact. I don't think I've ever seen the pool overcrowded - I can't say that about SAB :cutie:

When we were there in December we had a 2BR that kind of overlooked the pool. It was definately nice enough to go in the pools. The whole week we were there hardly anyone was in it. The most crowded we saw was about 10 people.

this pool is farther enough away that probably only BCV guests will be using it - both the BC and YC has a quiet pool closer to their resorts.

Not the quiet pool at VWL is a different story - lots of WL guests use it when the main pool at WL is busy.

we have been in there several times and the other guest using it were staying at WL not VWL.

My experience is that the pool is usually not that crowded at BCV....it does tend to get crowded at VWL....the only issue that may sometimes come up is the amount of kids that are still swimming at 10pm and beyond....it does not bother me, but I know it bothers others.

Here's a pic of the Dunes Cove pool that we took from our balcony. Not that great of a shot, but it will give a bit of perspective on the size of the pool.

Sorry...pic isn't displaying properly.

Yes, and it is not available for pool hopping.

"God bless this wonderful day for democracy."

Just checked out of BCV this morning, and FWIW, the 'Pool Rules' sign posted at the Dunes Cove pool states:
"This pool area is for the exclusive use of Disney Beach Villas guests."

dvc john..... I was pretty sure there was a sign posted there that said it was only for the use of the villas guests, but I was afraid that people would think that I made it up so others wouldn't use the pool. Thanks for confirming that!

It's not particularly convenient to the YC or BC hotel, so you probaly wouldn't get a lot of overflow from the regular hotel guests. It is quite convenient to most of the BCV, based on the way the building sort of "wraps around" the pool area, so I believe it's mostly BCV guests who use it.

In any event, I have never seen the DC pool area very crowded, and we have been there at all different times of the year, the day etc.

As real estate interest owners, the POS grants us access to the feature pools at the YC/BC. I'm not sure the BC/YC pay for any pool upkeep, etc. for dunes cove. You can bet though that a portion of our dues goes for the upkeep of SAB.

Kewl. A private pool for BCV, nicely exclusive. I like it, it's a nice pool, nice restrooms, excellent access, plenty of stairs for little ones, near the grills.

Any photos of the dunes pool???

Here are a couple of night time shots. This is one of the reasons we love the "quiet pool" view.

Well we know how effective that will be.

About as much as the same sign that says the Dunes Cove pool closes at 10pm, and the one that says the Polynesian beach is for resort guests only, and resort parking is not to be used to access the parks. :sad2:
