Coming from the North (I-75 to Florida's Turnpike) just curious as to if it is open yet? Thanks in advance,

No. The road coming through Disney property is complete but they have not yet finished it from property to 429. You can however take 429 until it ends at 192 and make a left on 192. That will take you to the backside of property fairly quickly. There is never any traffic on 429 it is a great road...when they open the entrance onto property it is going to be fabulous.

is that way faster than going on FLA. Turnpike to I-4 to WDW entrance? I always see the 429 Toll but have never taken it.

It depends on the time of day. 429 is a very fast road, not a lot of traffic, but 192 can be a nightmare if you hit it just right (took us an hour and a half to go 4 miles the other day around 10:30am). I would still take the turnpike to I-4 until the Disney entrance from 429 opens, but again it all depends on time of day whether or not one way is faster than the other way... Heading home though it would be a lot faster to go out to 192 and get on 429 from there as the traffic in that direction (going away from Disney) is not usually bad on 192.

we take the turnpike to 429 and exit at 535 then take that to Vista blvd and enter the disney property. We stay at the FW cabins so you come in right there, but even if you have to go to AKL or AS resorts traveling disney roads is better than the 192 parking lot! IMHO 535 is 2 lane divided highway for 90% of the way from 429 to buena vista blvd

Im a bit surprised that none of the major mapping sites (Yahoo, Rand Mcnally florida DOT etc )show the 429 being completed to 192?

We are staying at AS SPorts this time, so looking at the Yahoo map, do you ever get on 429? I ask b/c looking at the map dont you exit at 535 before ou reach 429? Or do you just go to 429 then while on that hit 535? S you would say this is faster than I-4? Never done the back way in only TUrnpike to I-4. Thanks in advance, Scott
