Is Disney Dining Considered a Hobby? Update 12/23 Last Meal

Yay, welcome back! Those club level offerings look divine. Can't wait to read more.

Looks great so far! Can"t wait to hear all about your trip!!

Looks like you are off to a great start. So jealous of club level, especially with conch fritters. Were they any good? Love me some good conch.

Always a fan of anything at tangerine cafe. Sadly I like it better than restaurant Marakesh.

Everything looks great so far! Looking forward to more reviews. I can't wait until we are able to stay CL somewhere. My hope is that we will be able to get a CL room at Animal Kingdom Villas next year when we come out for our DFTW. ;-)

CL is a treat for sure, with the dining plan it can be a bit much. However being spoiled on vacation is so nice.

The conch fritters were delicious! I have never been to Marakesh as I have not heard the best reviews on it.

Beach Club Stone Harbor Club Breakfast

The club level offerings for breakfast are among some of the best for the entire day. The Stone Harbor club has increased the amount of offerings since our last stay in December. The biggest addition to breakfast has been the addition of four different meats and four different cheeses. Thid is a nice welcome for normally a breakfast that is very carbohydrate based. The also offer hard boiled eggs. Other offerings in fruit, quinoa salad, various cereals, muffins, oatmeal with toppings, different bagels, grits, croissants, yogurt with toppings, and various juices. There is also regular coffee and a latte/cappuccino machine. The CMs at breakfast are super nice and our favorite CM up there is Basilla. She is so sweet and loves all the little ones.

Wow, it looks like beach club has some great offerings. We only did club level once, but morning protein was definitely missing in the sea of carbs. The meats, cheeses, and hard boiled eggs look like a welcomed addition.

I would say the BC is on par with the GF as they have always had meats at their CL breakfast. If only we could get some scrambled eggs up there and bacon!!

Lunch Monday 9/28 PT 50s

This is one of our favorite spots in all of WDW. When we arrived the place was super busy and they were not letting anyone check in early. So we found a cozy spot off the lounge while we waited. Before we knew it our "cousin" was calling us to be seated. We had a great table with our own tv. We started off with strawberry milkshakes! Soooo good and very filling so you have to be careful to save room for your meal. Alexander was being very very grouchy at this point and the milk shake calmed him down. I mean a complete meltdown took place :crazy2: It wasn't long before our food arrived, Peter had the fried chicken and I had the platter with chicken, meatloaf, and pot roast. All were great but I especially loved the pot roast. We were so full that we had our dessert to go. I ordered apple crisp and Peter had the cheesecake. Overall the food was delicious but having a grouchy teething baby made the experience miserable. On the bright side he did pass our mid meal :rotfl2:

Yay! Excited to read all about your trip. The CL offerings look pretty awesome! The strawberry drink sounds delicious too. Lucky that your DH wasn't into it so you got to have two. :thumbsup2

He is getting so big! Oh my gosh!

I love 50's Prime Time. Looks like you had a wonderful meal, even if one of your lunch companions wasn't too happy ;)

Wow, Alexander has turned into quite the little man already. Glad your 50s meal was good despite the Alexander "entertainment"

We really did enjoy the CL offerings this time! We don't always stay CL, but when we do we indulge for sure! The strawberry shake there is sooo good. It is actually the only place I order a shake.

I can't believe how big he is after looking at his pictures today from a year ago. Time flies when you are having fun for sure.

Hasn't he! Trust me we won't forget that meal :rotfl2: I am actually going back to WDW for a solo trip to meet up with some fellow disers at the beginning of December and I hope to enjoy a few meals of peaceful bliss.

9/28 Dinner Katsura Grill

Katsura Grill (formerly known as Yakatori House) is a favorite of ours. The seating is a little tight but the place does have a authentic feel to it. We love sitting outside but it was super humid so we opted to stay inside. For my entree I had the spicey tuna roll, it hit the spot for sure, and instead of dessert I subbed in the miso soup. My DH also had the edamame and the beef noodle bowl. Unfortunately he did not get to enjoy his that much as Alexander reached over and dumped it all over him! Yes hot soup all over him :( he was in so much pain he bolted back to the beach club. Needless to say it was a horrible dinner, not the food but what happen. We look back now and laugh!

On the bright side at least we went back to CL with an unlimited supply of these:woohoo:

Oh No! Sorry to hear about the soup incident. We enjoy sitting outside at Katsura with a sushi roll! One of the things I am looking forward to in March with DS!
