Is Disney Dining Considered a Hobby? Update 12/23 Last Meal

Subbing! I'm planning a last minute (in Disney terms, less than 180 days out) trip for December, so I'm feeling better about making last minute ADRs just hearing that you enjoy making ADRs that way!

Oh No! Sorry to hear about the soup incident. We enjoy sitting outside at Katsura with a sushi roll! One of the things I am looking forward to in March with DS!

Awe thank you! One things for sure with a 14 month old, you never know what is going to happen

Your poor husband. Can't fathom how hot that must have been, but the soup did look good pre-on his lap. At least you all kept it in perspective and ya know what they say when life gives you spilled soup, drink a beer ; )

Lunch 9/29 BOG Magic Kingdom

We were so excited to have scored a adr for BOG for lunch. We prefer lunch over dinner and it's a great value for a qs. I love how you are served you food from an elegant cart on real dishes and silverware. The drinks are self serve, which is nice for refills. We chose not to preorder this time as we didn't see how it saved anytime on our last visit there. Both DH and I have the braised pork, it was so delicious and the green beans were fantastic. Instead of dessert I subbed out the french onion soup. I hated this a few years ago, this time around it was amazing!! Next trip I just want the soup for a meal as it was good. DH had the grey stuff cupcake, which was delicious as well. We were excited to have found a cozy table in the west wing. I love the atmosphere in there and it was the perfect setting for Alexander to take a nap! It was on the of best meals of our trip and will return again! I already have my ADR for my solo trip in Dec and can't wait!!

Your meal looks SO good! I agree, we prefer lunch to dinner for sure. We are trying breakfast on our next trip, too. I have been trying to decide whether to get potato leek or french onion soup, and I may have to go with the french onion. It just looks so good!

Enjoying your review! Are you by any chance doing a trip report? We are taking our son next year and he'll be about 12 months.

I would like to try the breakfast as well. Maybe for our Spring trip we can sneak a breakfast in there. I highly recommend that soup!!

I will be doing a trip report, I just need to find the time, but will let you know when I start it. My son has gone to WDW at 5 months, 10 months and 14 months. Also went to DL at 6 months. Can you tell Mommy is a Disney addict :hyper:

Go for it! Would love to hear about your dining adventures :)

It is always an adventure with a toddler, heck with kids of any age! Mine are 6, 8 and 12 and I still get stressed at restaurants. Stroller naps are the best at Disney! CL looks awesome! :thumbsup2

I can only imagine with 3 :thumbsup2 At least they can tell you what they want :rotfl2:

I had the french onion soup for the first time last trip and agree it was so good. BoG has been hit or miss for me but the soup was definitely a hit. Glad you all had a great meal.

I was so hesitant to try it after it being so bad before. They must switch out chefs or something over there.

That afternoon I hit up one whole food and wine booth :rotfl: I had the butter chicken with naan bread at the Africa booth and it was fantastic. It was a decent portion and a great use of a snack credit. For dinner that night we grazed a bit in the club lounge and then had CS dinner at WS. DH opted for Germany. He had a bratwurst hotdog with a huge portion of paprika chips. Both were so good, they give a lot of chips and he could hardly eat half of them. Instead of the dessert he had the pretzel which was also huge. We took it back to the room, sad to say we never ate it. However I did taste it and it was delicious. I opted for CS in Mexico. I don't know why in the world I love the place, but I do. Living in San Antonio we have some of the best Mexican food in the America, but I just can't get enough. I had the chicken tacos, the use corn tortillas with rice and black beans. The rice is just okay, the beans are quite nice. The star of the show for me is their salsa, it is delicious!! They won't let you sub our the dessert, but I had the churros with caramel sauce. I am sure they are good when they are hot, but one bite was enough for me. Overall is it was a hit CS wise in Epcot.

Okay, I'll admit then that we are also taking him for Thanksgiving. He'll only be 10 weeks old, but mommy is having Disney withdrawals!

Yum, your food looks delicious. I'm with you, never enough mexican food to go around!
