I searched online and it says only the Fairy Godmother will be there. My DGD will be destroyed if she doesn't meet Cindy. We have reservations for May 9th, Mother's Day, at 3:50. Please tell me Cinderella will be there!!

Cinderella is in the downstairs "lobby" for photos at all meals. She does not visit tables.

The Fairy Godmother is no longer there. There are circulating princesses at dinner now, like there always were at breakfast and lunch.

when you go to the castle for any meal, you check in at the outside podium & wait. When they call your name you go around the corner behind the podium and you walk into Cinderella's reception room. Where you get in a line and wait your turn to MEET Cinderella and get a formal portrait taken with her. Then they take you upstairs to eat in the dining room. During the meal, they will bring your the photo package (it's in a nice presentation folder with a large color photo of the castle & a large photo of you/family with Cinderella as well as 4 smaller prints of that.)

It used to be a little song/dance by the Fairy Godmother at dinner, but they recently changed it so now the dinner is also a "princess" meal just like breakfast & lunch. Several different princesses will visit the tables during the meals (but not Cinderella...she stays downstairs to officially welcome her guests to her castle. :thumbsup2)

We did breakfast but like others have said I think it's part of the package that you get a picture with Cinderella (I assume thats what you pay an arm and a leg for, its surely not the food :) so she must always be there.

Oh thank goodness. She would have been so upset.

On another note, I didn't know the other Princesses came to the table. I thought it was Cindy and Prince Charming. We have reservations the following day at Akershaus for the Princess Breakfast. Will we be seeing the same group of Princesses there. If so, I will cancel and make a ressie for something else.

Is there anything with Tinkerbell? We have reservations for Mary Poppins at the Grande Floridian, Winnie and Friends at the Crystal Palace, Cindy, and then other Princess Breakfast, planned. I also have Boma and Tutu Italiano planned. Do you think these are good places for a 6 year old. We will be on the Dining Plan.

My DGD is 6 years old and has been dreaming of this trip forever. It will be only the two of us for our Princess trip. We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Kidani Village in a one bedroom villa May 7-15th and we are both so excited.

No Prince Charming - he's at 1900 Park Fare's dinner, not at CRT.

There are no meals with Tinkerbell.

Some may be the same ans some may be different. Last trip we book CRT, (dinner, which then had the fairy godmother),Akerhaus(dinner), and 1900 PF (dinner), We saw Cindy at all 3. We also saw Alice, Jasmine, and Ariel at Akershuaus and Bell i nthe front greeting and got the special picture with her there.
I also suggest if you DD would be interested,...is the wonderland te party. We did in March 2009. I think it is changed a bit now. (I don't think t hey serve lunch with it anymore, just snack or dessert) But my DD loved it so much. She talked about it non stop. I hung around the area and got to capture a few great moments with my camera too. Parents aren;t allowed in, but I for the most part stuck around and the Mad Hatter led them out to the lobby for a small parade. If you want to read about it, I have it all in my dining report...link in my signature. the first page has a list of what page each meal is on.

My last trip we did Akersaus and 1900 Park Fare. I did get into CRT. DD had a ball at both. At Akersaus we saw Belle (with photo pkg), Cindy, Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora. At 1900 Park Fare we saw Cindy, Prince, Stepsisters and Mother. (I would have to say 1900 was one of our favorite meals... Big thanks to CM that recommended it to me). The food was great and the stepsisters were worth every penny and more.

This trip... We got CRT. Very excited that the princesses will be there. So this trip I am going to skip Akersaus. But, my DH loved the food at the GF so we are going to do 1900 Park Fare again.

The only princess that my DD wanted to see that we missed on the first trip was Snow white. So the next day we checked out the meet and greets and Snow white was at Germany.

The food is not that great.

When we were in line to have our pictures taken with Cinderella last summer, I asked the PhotoPass gal who was keeping tabs on everyone, "What would you recommend for dinner?" and she looked around and then whispered to me, "Yachtsman Steakhouse." She wasn't far off the mark. The meal was less-than-memorable.

You're paying for the atmosphere and the characters, not the fine cuisine. Just know that up front, and you'll have a great time.

FWIW, we've been there for both b'fast and dinner, and b'fast was better, food-wise...I have to say, I got a huge kick out of the guy in tights who wandered around from table to table with the coffee pot and asked me, deadpan, "More coffee, m'lord?" :lmao:

I have been to both breakfast and dinner at the castle, and I thought the breakfast was greasy and slow-moving as far as the service went. The dinner was very tasty, and the chicken soup was great (we went there last summer). I would def. plan a trip back for dinner, but would never go for breakfast. At our dinner, we had the picture w/Cinderella down stairs, then one princess (Jazmine), and the two mice from snow-white.

Enjoy your trip.

We just did dinner there a month ago for my son's 5th birthday. He loved the meal. We had the meet and photo with Cinderella at the door. Then Snow White, Jasmine, Belle (in blue dress) and Snow White came to the table. The food was excellent. All 5 of us loved it. My son loved getting the sword as well (the girls get a wand).

We did Akershus the next night and he loved that one as well. There Belle in her yellow dress greets and does photos. We had Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Mary Poppins come to the table. Matthew was excited to see Cinderella again and talked to her about eating in her castle the night before. The food there was excellent as well.

Even though they are similar princesses, I would do both. They are different meals and different experiences.

Ooohhh...wouldn't that be great!?!?!? A meal with Peter Pan, Hook, Smee, Tink and other fairies!!!! It would be a great combo for boys AND girls all at one.

Guess we can add it to a wish list maybe???:confused3:rotfl:

The food was not that great and if paying out of pocket, I would skip it and get Princesses at either Akershush or 1900 Park Fare.

Girls get a wand...boys get a sword. Some of the princess come to the tables (not as many as Akershush).

Just back from dinner at CRT. Snow White, Belle, Ariel and Sleeping Beauty were the princesses that came to the table. Picture with Cinderella before you go up to be seated. We all had the prime rib and we all thought the dinner was great. We also were brought a little cake with candle for DD bday and our anniversary.

Thanks for your suggestions. The ONE thing she asked for was to go inside the castle...so we will. 1900 Park Fare sounds nice. I have a Mary Poppins breakfast there I think. Maybe I should change it to the Prince Charming and Cindy thing. Any thoughts on that? Or maybe keep Mary and get rid of Tuttu Italiano.

We did Cindys Castle in Nov. and my kids can't stop talking about it. We were there when it was just the fairy godmother and mice during dinner but they loved the meet and greet and photo with Cinderella. One suggestion I can make to anyone taking boys there get your son a little crown from a party place before you go. I did it just so my son woulden't feel left out (girls had tiaras) and it made such an impact in his experience. Cinderrella kept asking him what prince he was and whether he was related to Prince Charming. :rotfl: and the servers made a big deal about the "prince" in their midst as well. As for the food quality at dinner, we really liked it. The porkchop was wonderful, I've had better prime rib but this was still good and the au jus was so good and my sons fish meal was very good, very big and very healthy for a kids meal. More than that I felt there was something special about being in the castle that i coulden't get anywhere else.

Not true. Usually both have an average of 4 proncesses going to the tables and 1 for the picture in the front.

Is it more magical at night for dinner b/c the castle is lit up? The views must be so pretty at night. What is the best time to make dinner ADR's for?
