Is Christmas "too crowded" to enjoy??

There is a world of difference between the 2nd week of December which is one of the traditionally slowest times at WDW and Christmas which is the busiest. Heck, you can tell the difference just a few days before!

So ... the Soarin' picture didn't scare you, eh? :rotfl2:Fastpasses for 12 hours in the future were not busy enough, LOL! What about a 175 minute wait for Space Mountain? http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=490243 Bwaa, haa, haa!

Space Mountain doesn't scare me either. It's the most popular ride in the most popular park, so I know it's crazy. I waited 45 minutes or so during one of the Magic Kingdom's late night extra magic hours in line at Space Mountain a few months ago. Before that I've experienced two and three-hour waits. It's one of the reasons I seldom visit the MK. I do like the new Monsters Incorporated Laugh Factory though.

I know I asked about TGM before...sorry to repeat...but I was a little indecisive about pulling the string and going for it...I am busy saving for next year!!...but to hear a veteran WDW traveller say that they can learn something new from TGM is impressive. That was my concern feeling like his info would be redundant to me, I feel I know WDW fairly well, but I am definately not a total expert. :teacher:

I thought the exact same thing, but made the leap, and it has paid off immensely! Also, when you think about it, you spend possibly thousands on your WDW trip, and so what's another $20 to ensure you have a spectacular time. Yes, a lot of the info. is "redundant" but the part that's not, is well worth the money spent.

My days of over planning park visits are over. With TGM, we simply go with the daily park recommends. No Commando lists! It makes our visits much more fun!

I am going to go for the TGM deal, you are right $20 is not an outrageous price to pay to possibly make your expensive vacation worth it! plus I love to plan so, its a win win situation:goodvibes

Go and enjoy your stay at WL during the Christmas holidays. It's crowded in the summer too, and atleast this way you will only have to contend with the crowds -- instead of the summer when it's crowded and HOT!

Just remember to get your priority seatings taken care of as soon as you are able to. You don't want to be scrambling for a dinner reservation for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. I wouldn't be worried about the crowds too much. Christmas is a wonderful time to be at WDW. I live here in Central Florida and although we skip MK on Christmas Day, we have gone into Epcot on Christmas before and it's a great atmosphere. Walk along the Boardwalk and check out the decorations at the Boardwalk, Beach Club and Yacht Club resorts. They are decorated beautifully. Have a great time. Take lots of pictures!

Wilderness Bride...you will love using TGM! :thumbsup2 We used it for the first time this summer. We were there the week after July 4th. It was the best Disney vacation we have ever had! I'm planning on using it again for our trip this Christmas!

Sure, why not! My kids might drive you nuts though!:rotfl: I started to plan for this vacation last November. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. I have spent endless days on these forums and on TGM. Planning has been so much fun. This will probably be our once in a lifetime Christmas trip and I just can't wait. Staying at the lodge at Christmas is a nice bonus too.:cloud9: Have fun planning!

Don't worry I am used to kids...I have two of my own and I am in school to become a teacher, so no problem there:lmao: But I did like to hear that it didn't feel like forever till you got in reaching distance of your trip. We got back in July of this year and all I could think about was planning 2008!! I should enjoy the planning because oddly enough, for me at least, I enjoy the planning and preparing as part of the process. It can be a blast too!!! Take lots of pics, hope you can post some of them!!:santa:

I'm sure we'll take lots of pics! I'd be happy to post a few when we get back. I too really enjoy the planning phase of our Disney vacations. My husband thinks I'm crazy though. Sounds like we have a few things in common. I'm a teacher too (preschool) and have 2 kids of my own. I think you'd fit in just fine on our vacation. Now, I wonder which suitcase we could hide you in?:rotfl2: Thanks for starting this thread. My biggest concern was the crowds. I'm sure we'll have fun no matter what because we'll be at Disney for Christmas!:santa: I'll let you know my thoughts when we get back!
