is Chef Mickey's food that bad?

I'm usually not a fan of the "you're just there for the experience" school of thought, BUT I love the Contemporary Resort so I enjoyed eating breakfast there. If memory serves we ate there because I wanted to go!

The food was ehhhh, character interaction was good - my bff's DD was happy; for me eating while watching the monorails go by was priceless! :lovestruc

We ate breakfast for the first time in October and liked it. More importantly my 4 year old loved it!

I was apprehensive with all the bad reviews. We've done tusker, cape may and crystal palace and chef mickey was my DD's favourite

Our adr was for 8am on our first morning. Due to the time difference we were up super early and so showed up at opening at 7am and were seated then. The cm's were friendly and pleasant. The restaurant was not busy or noisy and the food was fresh. The a/c was cold though.

All the characters spent enough time with us for a picture and autograph. It was well organised, characters sticking to the same table rotation so we could judge when to go to the buffet.

Really felt like we had arrived - great start to the trip and stopped my DD saying i haven't seen mickey yet.
