Or is it a more relaxed atmosphere like OKW, or is it a nice cross between the both of them?

Lori

BCV is very quite compared to BWV. If you venture into BC, it gets busier, but still not on the scale of BWV. BCV is just kinda set off by itself, very relaxing.

Thanks for the info, we are contemplating buying BCV before it sells out or just wait for saratoga springs to open up. I like a relaxing atmosphere which BWV is not, but BCV would be a better fit for now because my daughter is only 10. Also the DVC information book which is received today. States that BCV "currently" has the use of SAB. Do you think that in the future there would be a possibility that we could not use that pool?

The way I understand it, they couldn't take SAB away from BCV without replacing it with something of like value and quality. I wouldn't let the thought of possibly losing SAB keep you from not buying BCV. To me, BCV offers the great location benifits- Epcot,MGM,Boardwalk- at an OKW kinda peace and quite. SAB is just iceing on the cake.

Thanks again, I think I'm sold on BCV then. I guess when monday rolls around. That I'll get the ball rolling. :Pinkbounc

I completely agree with KNWVIKING.... BCV's are much quieter than BWV, that is one of the reasons I bought there. I love sitting on the quiet beach at night looking over at the lights of the boardwalk.

It seems to me that the comment "a nice cross between the 2 of them" describes BCV well. It's not as quiet as OKW, but seems more so than BWV.

Well, if your comparing the two here's some thoughts of BCV vs BWV:

I like the BCV room layout better. Table seats 8 whereas BWV, WLV does not. Bathroom layout nice, Desk in bedroom in BCV.
BCV is newer.
Seemed slower and a little more quiet and relaxed than BC, YC and BWV, yet still close to activities.
Distance to the elevator is better.
Nice Quiet pool
Lots of nice internal spaces for when it's raining, drawing room, breezeway, solarium, BC lobby.
Sandcastle club availability
Outstanding location, boat to MGM, walk to Epcot, Baordwalk area activities closeby, swan and Dolphin restaraunts.
Love the Beach Theme
Great at access to Beach Club amenities, and restaraunts, Jellyrolls, stores, Beaches and Cream, Arcade, etc.
Prefer the sand beach along crescent lake instead of the boardswalk
SAB is nice
Nice Beach Club Workout facility.
Nice access to the parking lot
Bus service fine.
Hotel services available like in-room dining, valet services, front staff.
Nice entrance to the resort walking in BC entrance with large fresh flower arrangements, sometimes music in lobby (saw harpist) front door greetings.
Nice access to parking lot for villas, closer than valet for many units. Just go in the back door or walk along the canal to the middle elevator
Second elevator available in the middle of the resort for pool, parking access.
BCVs has access to a marina along with the YC and BC. WLV and OKW also has a marina. BWV does not (although it's not far). Can take boats to see illuminations.

For us, the circus type theme isn't as appealing as the beach theme, circuses don't have a good reputation for cleanliness or humane treatment towards animals, or the most friendly workers, but that's just us. It doesn't mean BWV is like that, we just find the theme less appealing.

BCV has no community hall and Community Hall activities like BWV, Vero, others.
Uses all preferred view point structure, no advantage of standards view lower point structure like at BWV or lower points requirements like at OWK to stretch point value
Rooms smaller than OKW, lessstorage space - OKW, Vero and HH rooms are larger.
No three bedroom grand villas available (usually requires 11 month window at other resorts)
No outstanding crecent lake views like BWV
Villas in back are too close to roadway, some noise.
BCV is an add on to an exsisting hotel, where BWV is all DVC units. Some percieve this as a difference.

Hey LoriKutchey:

We just got back from a week at BCV. We agree that it was very quiet and extremely relaxing. We had considered BWV in the past, but we were definitely sold on the BCV when we saw where it is (Next to BC) and the amenities it has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed SAB - the kids didn't really want to do the parks too much so we spend lots of time at the pools (both SAB and the quiet pool at the villas).

We did use room service once - it was late and a 45-minute wait, but when you have a craving and you're 11-years old it's nice to have the availability of room service.

My wife and I went for morning runs around the circle (BC to YC to Swan/Dolphin to BW/BWV then back to BC) and went for nice walks along the same route in the evenings.

We did walk to Epcot for dinner, and we could see all the fireworks from our 5th floor room (not the laser portion, however). We also walked back from MGM, which was nice because we didn't have to wait for a boat or bus to get back to our room.

No complaints here - highly recommend!!!:D :) :p

Wow, thanks for all the reply's!!!
you guys are doing all the homework for me, such knowledgeable people on this forum. I really appreciate the imput! :)

You could also buy resale at OKW if you are looking for that relaxing atmosphere:D We bought resale at BWV this past winter and we were very pleased with the experience. Also, we've stayed at BVC twice and had lousy experiences both times. It was VERY noisy and crowded when we went in May:( It doesn't look like our experience was the norm, though, luckily. We've stayed at BWV when it was fully booked and not noticed that it was noisy, so maybe the noise level depends on the time of year that you're there? Good luck with whatever you choose :) You really can't go wrong:p

I like a relaxing atmosphere which BWV is not,
Just curious.....
But what makes you say that? Have you ever stayed at BWV?
I stay at BWV a lot and I have never been bothered by noise even in boardwalk view villas. The whole boardwalk area is very laid back and empty until the evening and then the atmosphere is not noisy or bothersome, it is a very nice atmosphere watching the people stroll the boardwalk from your balcony with the lake in the background, the lights on the water, the boats coming and going, Spaceship Earth and various parts of WS visible in the background etc.--it is truely beautiful. Any noise coming from the boardwalk area virturally ceases around 10:30 to the latest 11:00 when all the restaurants, stands and stores close and surprisingly even with 3 clubs on the boardwalk, noise is not a factor. Also the balcony doors completely block out any noise you might hear from the boardwalk.
If you do not have a boardwalk or main pool view, which is alot of the villas at BWV, you REALLY do not hear anything.
There are many relaxing places at BWV. The quiet pool is wonderful and has one of the nicest and most secluded hottubs in WDW, the pathway to MGM is very nice and relaxing especially at night, the rockers on the porch are another great spot, the Bellvue Lounge is a great spot to have a cool drink, relax and play an old board game, taking a stroll over to the Inn side and exploring yields even more quiet, beautiful and secluded spots.
I am always amazed when BWV is referred to as a noisy, busy place because I do not see it that way at all. Yes, there is activity but the activity is on the boardwalk, it is in the evening from about 6-11 and it is not like it is even mobs of people like you would encounter in a park or DTD. For the vast majority of the day the boardwalk is quite empty-you don't encounter any more people then you would encounter at any of the other Epcot resorts. Once you leave the boardwalk and enter the resort villas, especially if you do not have a boardwalk view, it is like the boardwalk is not even there.
I have been surpirsed a few times when having a conversation with someone regarding disney resorts and they tell me they think the BWI/BWV are noisy resorts and then they tell me they have never stayed there???!!!

Just an FYI:

It's an Atlantic City theme from the turn of the century, not a "circus" theme.

Also, we find there is virtually no noise at BWV or OKW except noisy neighbors returning to their rooms at night, and even that is very seldom. We toured Bech Club Villas and they seemed real nice. The layout of the rooms is more appealing than BWV, but on the downside they don't have standard view points.
