About Christmas? I usually love Christmastime... This year has just been so hard. I've had a couple of unfair reviews at work, not to mention a bunch of other political BS, and now last weekend the car got wrecked... with the baby in it. The other person's insurace claims that they can't get a statement from the responsible party, so my car is sitting on a tow lot accruing lot fees. Now the lot says they are going to impound my car on Monday if we don't go get it. My insurance company won't provide a rental car, because it doesn't fall under Uninsured motorist.

Anyway, the stress is getting to me and ruining my holiday. I'm not even excited about the cruise we have planned for march.

Sorry, I guess misery just loves company.

I'm sorry to hear about your car. I hope this all gets straightened out soon.

I'm not very "Christmasy" this year either but I think it is more because mother is in a nursing home and my son is all grown up now. No little kids around for Christmas makes a big difference to me.

Me either. I'm more concerned about getting a new car before mine dies (and it's very close) and now the fact that I have bronchitis and possibly asthma. I should be mailing out packages today but had to go to the dr and now catch up on other errands and get my Rx's. I can't even think about car shopping right now, but I just know I'm going to be stranded any day now. No time for Christmas. I just want to lie in bed and rest and drink tea and Sprite and eat chicken noodle soup.

I thought I was the only one! Just had chemo today, so I know when Christmas rolls around I won't be myself. Also, my MIL is very sick, doctors aren't giving her much time. DH is very stressed about it, but doesn't show it until it gets to be too much for him, and then he explodes. It at times like this when I am able to step back from all the Christmas "hype" and remember the true meaning of the season, and that tends to put a smile on my face, and helps me to make it through.
