Or red and blue fish for dessert?
Maybe some buttered toast? (some facing up, and some facing down of course!)

Nope but my kids did have an ice cream party in school in his honor today :)

How do you make green eggs and ham? How do you make them Sam I am?

My 12 year old son made this for himself (using food dye) a few weeks ago when we had company (3 very small children came with the company). The kids were AMAZED... :lmao:

I actually found a recipe on Food network that uses spinach pesto to turn the eggs green. Actually sounds kind of yummy.
I am going to put a little green dye on the ham though.
And we are having pink ink yink drink (pink lemonade)
And red and white striped parfaits topped with red and blue fish!!

I've used blue food coloring in scrambled eggs (blue + yellow = green). Not tonight, though!

 I miss those days. My older kids are 16 & 23 and they would roll their eyes if green eggs and ham ended up on the dinner plate. Christian's class did celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday today--yummy yummy cake!

No green eggs & ham here, but we are reading the Sneetches (and other stories) at bedtime tonight. I hope someone can save me from the pale green pants with nobody inside them! :scared1:

You know, I got that book when I was 6. The pale green pants scared the crap out of me!

My 17 year old DD is slightly bummed that we forgot about this until now, green eggs and ham would have been great for dinner. She did(without remembering it was Dr. Suess's birthday)have toast butter side up and down as a sandwich for breakfast.

Green Eggs and Ham and One Fish, Two Fish are both celebrating their 50th anniversary this year! Just FYI

Oh good, that gives me an excuse to have spinach pesto scrambled eggs again. They were yummy!!!

My boys both had green eggs and ham at school lunch yesterday. They also had to bring a Dr. Suess book to school. My youngest brought the Butter Battle. He loves that book. We had to read it to him over and over when he was about 4 years old. :rotfl:

My son is 4. I have memorized, almost word for word, if I ran the zoo. What is it with 4 year old boys? We have hundreds of books, but we are stuck reading just that one. At least it's Suess.

It's a pretty good zoo said young Gerald McGrew, And the fellow who runs it seems proud of it too.
But if I ran the zoo, said young Gerald McGrew, I'd make a few changes. That's just what I'd do...
