Is anyone else getting increasingly frustrated with September??

I'm not there until November, but I'm feeling like we are going to be missing a lot!

First Splash down; then Mission Space and Hall of Presidents refurb extended; now Ellen's and Great Movie Ride closing in August; River of Light an every other day event; no extension of Music of Pixar announced yet. I mean come on now :sad2:

Dont' worry, Food and Wine and Halloween Parties.... Also, it's a "slower" time... Ok, sarcastic rant over...

My gf and I are going the last week of September, sad that GMR is closing,
HoP is a bummer too. Never got a chance to go on the Ellen ride last year on our first trip to WDW. Hoping nothing else is closed while we're there!!

Well perhaps not as much as some other attractions but the one thing they all do is help to absorb some of the crowd. DHS is already light, so taking out GMR is one less thing to soak up the crowd.

September is still pretty hot. So Splash definitely would soak up some people, figuratively and literally. The waits for Splash can be decent, so factor at least an hour's worth of standby time there, that won't be in the queue. GMR is a longer ride, so it soaks up some as well. Mission Space hasn't been all that hot of a ride really, HoP? I think they're waiting on Trump to see if anything happens, so as to not have to refurb it again sooner, lol. Ellen never really has a wait.

ETA: There's another thread going right now that if you had FP+'s booked for GMR, that you were apparently given an anytime FP if your dates were between Aug. 13 and some time in November... Talk about a random score there...

We are there 8/31-9/9. I am really, really bummed about Splash. That is one of my family's top favs. Last year we missed BTMRR and I didn't think it could feel any worse but Splash is worse :( Sad about GMR also. Especially since it will never be again in the same way. I can deal with everything else pretty easily.
