Is anyone else getting excited for the Holiday Season?

My mom has boxes and boxes and boxes of holiday decorations. We have no storage space in our place so the boxes are stored in my brother and SIL's basement - she has a transport plan, an unpack plan, and a decorating plan that involves 83% of the existing tinsel in the northern hemisphere - and all plans are set to holiday music.

She's awesome! :thumbsup2

Yeah, I'll go along with crazy. :rotfl:

I think the holidays come too fast every year, especially Christmas. Maybe it's because WE host the family get-together on Christmas Day and I'm really, really wishing someone ELSE would take over that job.

I'm with MIGrandma, on can't even think about the holidays yet! I love summer and having my kids home. They are already getting ready to head back to school soon, and I'm sad. I don't want summer to end this year.

About the holidays, I would love to switch with you, MIGrandma! We are always travelling for the holidays and my kids are starting to gripe about the long distances we have to travel. I love to host the holidays but it never seems to happen~

No, I am not ready. I don't want summer to end. It has been so hot here - could not enjoy the outdoors as much as I would have liked.

Christmas will be here before you know it - it can take it's time. I also find the holidays very stressful.

Me! Me! I'm more than ready for summer to be over with (it's currently 112 where I am now) & the holidays to happen! They'll get off to an early start as I'm going to Disneyland in the beginning of October to see all the Halloween stuff (never been in October since they started decorating/doing the Space Mountain overlay for Halloween). Then when Halloween actually rolls around, I decorate the front yard for trick or treaters...this year it's going to be a "graveyard" complete with dry ice "fog" coming out from behind the gravestones. Then I've got another Disney trip in the middle of December, but before that I get to put out the Snow Village that I made (it's made all in pastels, to look like 1950s houses) and the PINK Christmas tree.

Can't wait!!!

Im already working on holiday gifts. Kinda hard to be crafy for mulitple religions. Im so close to being done with halloween, got my costume almost done. Pochontas is such a easy costume.

I'm ready for it, too! Hobby Lobby has some good stuff out already, too. :thumbsup2

It was out about 4 weeks ago here at our Hobby Lobby along with some Christmas lol.

I am ready for fall decorations but only because it means cooler weather lol. Well I hope it means cooler, we are usually upper 80's even in Mid Oct. BOOOO

It seems like all the members from the South want the holidays. I'm sick of our heat and ready for the holidays. Finding this thread was just too ironic. Last night at dinner, I said those exact same words as the OP to my husband. I'm pretty sure he thought I was nuts too.

I'm pregnant and I'm sick of the heat! However, I'm nervous at how big I'll be when the holidays roll around!

Count me in!! I'm so (bleeping) sick of summer right now. I can't wait to have my baby, dress my kiddos up for Halloween, eat candied apples, carve pumpkins, tackle Black Friday, rock out for my 30th B-day in WDW, and then Christmas!! YAY for that! :cloud9:
