Is anyone else bothered that the Wish's sailings are so short?

We wanted a 7-night cruise since we fly 15+ hours to get there. We wanted to sail on the Wish, which only does 3-night and 4-night sailings. My daughter pointed out 3+4=7, so b2b it is!

We're also doing a B2B in August. Probably won't be back on this ship though, so we plan to enjoy it!

That’s also why we finally booked b2b. Then they both got cancelled due to the ship delay. Two cruises booked with 50% off. Finally going on the Dream in Europe, and will do a 4 night on the Wish next year. Win/win!

Does a B2B have the same itinerary? I would need to visit different ports

We are doing a B2B in July on the wish (it’s first 4 day & 2nd 3 day) so 4 ‘sea days’ (we don’t do Nassau) & 2 days at Castaway.

Other than the Fantasy, all of Disney's ships started with those 3 and 4 night Bahamian cruises. The Wonder did them for what seemed like forever before Disney sent her out for more adventurous itineraries.

I know Disney has started doing some 5 nights out of Miami, but would love to see more 5 nights out of PC. Sometimes a 7 night is too long for me and they can get pricey.
In Summer 2019 we did a 5 night double dip out of PC and it was perfect, would love to see that again

Well I mean Canada is a huge country. Manitoba & Saskatchewan usually get the worst in winter. If you were to go to Toronto, Ontario they have EXTREME WEATHER WARNINGS at -15c. All we can do from here when we're in -40c (at the same moment) is laugh at them! And then we're all freezing to death and people in Vancouver are wearing shorts and exclaiming about how their cherry blossoms are blooming!
It gets to -40 and below in Ottawa for parts of Jan and Feb lol

Yes, I’d love a 5 night double dip on the Wish.

The Dream sailed 4 and 5 night cruises (5 nights were double dips) for at least its first couple of summer seasons. We sailed on 5 night during its second summer and it was perfect. Those were the good old days when double dips were routine in the summer!

Most cruise lines do this- best ship, worst itinerary.
This definitely isn’t true. Both Carnival and royal have their 3/4 night cruises on their older ships. Their new ships might run boring EC/WC but at least they’re 7 nights.

I’m so jealous of all of you who were able to book B2B cruises. I wanted to do that but price was just too high that DH said no. He thinks the 4 night is already too expensive but we booked late so didn’t get the cheaper first day the cruise opened prices. On the bright side, we learned our lesson and DD and I booked a double dip 5 night cruise on the Magic for 2024 and it was 1,000 cheaper than our 4 night on the wish!

Rarely -40 before wind chill is considered, to be honest. Winnipeg is definitely colder. But we had (multiple) mornings at the ski hill this past winter that were below -30 on the thermometer, and windy besides; easily -40 wind chill on those days.

But we also don't consider -15 to be "extreme cold" in Ottawa, or 20 cm of snow to qualify as a "snowfall warning". Toronto is a bit of a national laughingstock when it comes to winter weather. (Sorry Torontonians, we love you, but I'm not sure you'll ever live down calling in the army in 1999.)

Back on topic: not sure I'd say I'm bothered, exactly, but we'll likely skip the Wish as long as it's on 3-4 day itineraries. Same reason Dream is the only DCL ship we haven't yet sailed. It's unlikely that all three of the new ships will run short Caribbean itineraries year-round, so we'll probably hold out for something longer.

That's even more disappointing. At this point I may never sail the Wish
I actually view it as a good thing they are not doing more interesting ports for its inaugural year. If they sent the Wish to Europe or Alaska, I’d be doing excursions all day, which I can do on any ship. But for the wish, we want to enjoy the new adult and family pools, the aquamouse, the new rainforest room, the family hero zone games, the frozen picnic, the brunches at palo/enchante…etc etc. The ship itself is the destination for us.

The good thing about Calgary area is we get the Chinook winds so we don't usually (not this winter) stay stuck at -40 for too long
I'm super jealous. I really need to move. I hate winter so much and it's probably cause it's just so cold that I'm miserable from December till March.
