Is anyone else a little tired of Vera Bradley?

I'm just over it. Everywhere I look, there are VB purses, wallets, wristlets, backpacks, lunch boxes, bags, etc. I have several (work bag, wallet, lunch bag) and I've never bought a single one. I've been given them as gifts. I like them and I'll continue to use the ones I have, but I don't actively seek them out. I have friends who have to have the newest style or pattern, and make comments about others having "older" patterns. :rolleyes2

My new purse is from Kohls and it's adorable. I get a little sick of seeing the flowery, quilted styles on everyone. Plus, as soon as my teenage daughters go crazy over something, it's probably time for mom to get into something else.

Not being a hater, just wondering if I'm alone in this?

For a while, they were every where but i haven't noticed her products as much lately. I was never actually a fan though. I tried to like them...the big patterns and bold colors were right up my alley but I never saw something that would make me pull the trigger.

I am surrounded by Coach! Coach purses, wallets, shoes, flip flops, sunglasses, accessory pouch, almost any thing you can think of.

Never was a fan, just not my style. Everytime I see them, it makes me think of a diaper bag and I am SOOOOOO over that time in my life:rotfl:

I was going to say no, but I sure am sick of Coach. :rotfl:

I haven't cared for their patterns in awhile. I started buying Thirty-One.:)

I honestly don't see many anymore.

My mom still likes them because they are lightweight and she can wash them. A few of my older clients carry them but have for years and years. They were VB fans before VB was so popular.

I'm a Baggallini girl myself. I have 4 of them. I do have a VB mini hipster that I may still carry at WDW. Very convenient. I need to keep in my Owner's Locker since I do not carry it around here anymore.

I am sooooo not a name brand bag lady. Have never bought a label name purse or even looked at them. And probably never will. Not a girlie girl at all.

I buy function.

I love coach:goodvibes I was never a vera fan. BUT I do see it everywhere here.

I was big into Stone Mountain black leather back in the 80's, then moved on to whatever that I found appealing. Then recently, loved Dooney Bourke. A few years ago, I got some great Dolce and Gabbana bags real cheap on Canal Street in Mahattan. I have been a fan ever since. Love the style and how soft the leather is.

:thumbsup2 I have several, too! But I have to admit that I've bought most of them at Marshalls/TJMaxx. They have great deals on them when they come in. I love them for their clean, modern, neutral look and for their practicality.

I think Coach bags are so ugly with that brown/gold/tan pattern. I liked the old leather Coach bags. I'd never spend that much on purse, though. It's just not in me.

The Vera Bradley's aren't my thing because they are quite girl-y, but I'm not sick of them like the Coach bags. They don't seem to be primarily status symbols, but people like them because they are pretty and practical.

Ironically-this is the main thing my SIL sells in her gift shop-its very popular in the South
I hate it:lmao:

BUT-its popular at the gym-those big bags for a gym bag and college girls

My wife's definitely a girly girl, but otherwise your statement would fit her to a tee. I think she's owned 3 or 4 purses in the 18 years I've known her and she swears she's never paid more than $20 for one.

I'd honestly never heard of Vera Bradley until I moved to FL. It's HUUUUUUUUGE down here. At first I thought it was only popular with the, shall we say, early bird special crowd, but my university bookstore has an entire section devoted to VB as well. Not my personal taste to use bags with such loud prints, but someone's buying them!

I'm not sick of them. :) I prefer seeing a pop of color rather than a bunch of leather purses myself. But to each their own.

I still love them,,,actually I am going to see my sister over Labor Day and there is a VB outlet near her where I will get myself a new wristlet and the new mailbag..

Me too. One King's Lane and TJMaxx. I'd never spend full price on one. I don't spend full price for much! ;) (Doesn't pass the Disney test. ;) )

Probably because VB has been around so long and those little old ladies carried them WAY before the college girls ever did. ;) Then, years ago, they became all the rage and all the college girls were carrying them and of course the high schooler girls started and mom's started...

My little ol' "rich" ladies have many name brand things that are so old now but the stuff cycles through again! The granddaughter raid one of their closets when they come visit! Too funny!

I'd never heard that name before tonight. I clicked on this thread assuming she was someone like Snookie or a Kardashian :rotfl2:

I never got into VB, not a fan of coach any more. I do love the dooney and bourke disney bags.

I have several Vera bags and use them daily. I like the colors and find them very practical. There are only a couple of places that carry them around here so I really don't see that many of them. I get lots of compliments on them. I wear mostly solid colors in my wardrobe so having a print bag works for me. I see a lot more Coach bags out and about. I did notice a LOT of Vera bags at both MCO and WDW.
